Tina SmithIn honor of Thanksgiving, here's one of the Senator's favorite holiday recipes: her grandmother's lemon pie! 1 1/4 cup sugar3 rounded Tbs. flourgrated rind & juice of one lemon (or 1/3 cup)2 egg yolks1 whole egg1 1/4 cup waterAs much butter as you can affordMix sugar and flour well in heavy pan. Grate in lemon rind. Pour in lemon juice. Beat yolks and egg well and add.Put water in egg bowl, then add. Stir consistently over medium heat. When thickened, set aside and let cool.
