Direction, Week 6Day 4: Seeing the HarvestDevotionalJesus looked at the crowds and saw something His disciples missed — a harvest ready to be gathered. While others saw problems, opposition, and difficulty, Jesus saw opportunity. We live in what many call a ‘negative world’ where Christianity is increasingly viewed unfavorably. But have we forgotten that we’ve already won? The same Jesus who conquered death is still building His church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. That hostile coworker is someone God may yet save. That angry online opponent is someone for whom Christ died. The harvest opportunities are already placed in your life — you don’t even need to look for them. God has strategically positioned you where you are for such a time as this. Instead of cultural pessimism, we need biblical optimism.
