Who is Adam Nelson?  Hello! My name is Adam Nelson. I am a motivated and passionate individual who is currently working with ZeroEyes helping prevent school shootings by using AI to monitor active camera feeds. My core skills and experience are concentrated in Information Technology, Event Management, and Entrepreneurship. A quick history of my experience; from 2007 until 2013 I served in the US Army. I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. My position as a Signal Support Systems Specialist was my introduction to radio communication and technology. During my assignment there, I was deployed to Iraq in 2010 for a 6-month tour. During my deployment, I was accountable for an entire Cisco network, over $50,000 worth of tactical radio equipment, and a classified secret level MS Access/SQL database. In 2011 I moved back to my hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have had the privilege of working in two internship Co-Ops while attending Drexel University. During that time, I spent a year at SAP doing networking and database/cloud management, followed by a year at the Philadelphia Fire Department doing user and database support. Shortly after, I spent two and a half years as an IT support specialist at the Wharton Business school at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2018, I transitioned from Upenn to Bunker Labs, a national nonprofit where I helped veteran entrepreneurs start and grow their own businesses. I currently work at ZeroEyes, a company helping prevent school shootings by using AI to monitor active camera feeds for exposed weapons. I am also the founder of Philly Esports, where we run pop-up style in-person tournaments where aspiring esports athletes can play for cash prizes and work on building their personal brand. Please feel free to reach out to me and I look forward to meeting you!
