from Drum For The Song Podcast

Thanks for checking out episode 31 of Drum For The Song podcast featuring Dirk Verbeuren of Megadeth and formerly of Soilwork. In this amazing episode, we talk about Dirk's upbringing in Belgium and how his parents encouraged and supported his path into music, his early influences, listening to hip hop, skateboarding, going to music school in France whilst discovering heavier forms of metal from other students around the world. We also talk about Dirk's healthy lifestyle and how he keeps himself fit, doesn't smoke, do drugs or drink and follows a plant-based diet. We talk about the various extreme forms of metal that Dirk plays in other projects. We also talk about blast beats and Dirk's own variation of it called The Dirk Blast. We talk about his time in Soilwork and Dirk explains how he originally got the call from Dave Mustaine about auditioning for the Megadeth and what it's been like being the drummer of Megadeth so far.Unfortunately, Dirk's sound quality isn't as great as normal, we didn't seem to have the best audio signal but I've tried my best to clean it up. I promise you it is definitely worth bearing with because otherwise it was such a fantastic interview.I hope you enjoy this free episode, please subscribe to the podcast via your podcast provider & YouTube, like and review where you can and share with anyone else who might be interested. Please consider joining my Patreon community via Patreon at http://www.patreon.com/drumforthesong/ for access to exclusive content, group video calls, competitions, giveaways plus 20% discount at http://www.motorhead-beer.comI'd like to give a special thanks to my top-tier 'Groove Master' Patrons for their extended support.
