Today on Disability Advocacy Matters - a podcast for Speaking Up for You - we’re speaking with SUFY Individual Advocate Deanne Gibbs, and SUFY Administration and Intake worker Chelsea Henderling. Deanne and Chelsea explain what disability advocacy is, and what work they do at SUFY. Together we will find out about some of the main issues they see, and what people with disability can do to get assistance. This episode was recorded and produced on the lands of the Yuggera and Turrbal people, and we pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.  SUFY is an independent individual Social Advocacy Organisation for people with disability in the Brisbane and Moreton Bay Regions. We defend and promote the human rights of vulnerable people with disability through advocacy to address injustices and make a positive difference to their lives.
