First, The plaintiff brings her biological mother to court, but she was raised by her grandparents. She says her mother was a crack addict and prostitute who was always in and out of jail. The plaintiff claims her mom busted her car windows during an argument, so she’s suing. The defendant gave birth to the plaintiff when she was 16 and wasn’t ready to be a mother at the time. She admits to breaking her daughter’s window, but she did it in self-defense. Then, The plaintiff and defendant became friends after meeting at work. The plaintiff says she took her car to the defendant for repairs, but he never gave it back to her, so she’s suing for the value of a car. The defendant argues he completed the repairs and left it at his mom’s house, but the plaintiff never picked it up. Plus, The plaintiff and defendant were best friends, but everything changed when they moved in together. He claims he saw the defendant do drugs all the time. He argues the defendant stopped paying rent, so he’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff kicked him out and he did what he could to make up the money.
