Selby brought a clear encouragement for us to grow in discernment, reminding us that we do not have time to live carelessly. Drawing from Luke, he challenged us with the question of why we can discern the weather, yet struggle to discern the times we are living in (Luke 12:56). There is a call for every believer to seek and understand the will of God.He reminded us that discernment is the mind of Christ at work in us, shaping our priorities and decisions. We were encouraged to return to the basics of our faith, by devoting yourself to the apostles teachings, continuing in fellowship, breaking bread and prayer. From Ecclesiastes 3:1–15, we were reminded that there is a time for everything, and that the Lord makes everything beautiful in His time.
