Online access to information has its benefits and drawbacks. Though we can obtain information at the touch of a button, we can also be influenced and misinformed as to spiritual matters. False teachers and false prophets have seemingly flourished online, and now that individuals are questioning such practices and teachings, they are experiencing the disadvantage of growing Biblical discernment. Now, some leaders are countering by calling "discernment ministries" gossips and slanderers, telling their followers to silence such people and to avoid them.
