Discernment of what is true or not

Today's message is a sequel to yesterday's with the imagery of party balloons filled with hot air (representing words without truth and substance) floating in, and falling from, the sky. In today's sequel I saw a pair of white scissors popping some of the balloons. I believe that this is a reminder that we can call upon the Holy Spirit, who resides in us when we have received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, to help us decide to believe in a supposed truth or not. He gives us many gifts and one is "the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit." (1 Corinthians 12:10).
