Discipleship Pathway Launch Discussion

Church Discipleship Pathway Initiative: A Spring 2025 Launch Plan In this audio discussion, the church leaders outline their plans for a new discipleship pathway aimed at fostering spiritual growth and community. The pathway is part of a long-term initiative that emphasizes practical applications of Jesus' teachings through 'Practicing the Way' course, featuring eight sessions on spiritual formation. Elders, leaders, and their spouses are invited to engage in this 12-week program starting in February, with preparatory sessions in January. The program is designed not just as a temporary initiative but as a foundational shift towards a more intentional, community-based discipleship model. The leaders also discuss the importance of feedback and the possibility of reducing other church activities to ensure full participation. They emphasize the need for prayer, humility, and willingness to be part of this transformative journey. 00:00 Introduction to the Discipleship Pathway 01:28 The Importance of Discipleship at FCC 03:36 Defining the Discipleship Pathway 04:49 Spring Initiative: Practicing the Way 08:33 Leadership Training and Core Group Formation 09:45 Long-Term Vision and Commitment 18:32 Addressing Hesitations and Encouraging Participation 21:49 Call to Action and Next Steps 24:21 Conclusion and Final Thoughts
