It’s not often we get to see the anger of our Lord Jesus on full display. Imagine standing in the room as Jesus scolded the Pharisees with some of the harshest words you’ve ever heard on his lips. Awkward and uncomfortable probably doesn’t begin to describe what that would have been like! But it’s in the righteous anger of our Lord Jesus that we see a bit more of what he is passionate about. In an odd way, the severity of Jesus teaches us to value what he values. So this week as we consider Luke 11:29-12:3 we’re going to be confronted with a side of Jesus we may not be as familiar with but one which we need to hear.
