from Aliens On Earth Hosted by Nate Gizaw
Send us Fan Mail This episode, "The Bethlehem Blueprint: Justice, Mercy, and the Humble King," shifts the focus from Jonah's theme of God's mercy for the outsider to the Book of Micah's message of God's justice for the covenant people. The host introduces Micah, a country prophet who exposed the religious leaders and elite for exploiting the poor while masking their greed with religious performance, contrasting this with Jesus' action of flipping tables in the Temple. The central theme revolves around Micah 6:8, stating that God requires humanity to "do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God," a standard perfectly met by Jesus. Furthermore, the episode highlights the "Bethlehem Blueprint" (Micah 5:2), showing that the Eternal King would come from a tiny, overlooked town, advocating for the "small places" over human pride. The discussion concludes with the profound forgiveness of Micah 7:18-19, where God casts sins into the sea, a promise fulfilled through Jesus' cancellation of debt on the cross. Support the show
