Today's guest is Douglas Bauer who is a Professor of Writing at Bennington College, Author and Writer of " THE BECKONING WORLD, A NOVEL as well as several other books.Douglas Bauer discusses the title of the book, the book cover, his writing process, and the 6 years of research that went into this novel.Doug and Betsy discussed the many characters of this novel, how love is very strong, how the world beckons us in different ways, the many relationships in this book, how the characters grow and how love lives on even when we lose someone, and we also discussed Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig who are also in this novel.
