Discrimination

from Podcast ACT for Share

There is a strong discrimination in Poland in many areas. In many households the men think that they don’t need to be involved in house- keeping because they have serious work outside. Most of employers are men and they also prefer to employ men than women. If a woman applies for a job she has 90% less chances to be employed. Besides the average woman’s salary is 30% less than man. Women were asked about children during interview. The men ask with whom the child will stay at home when he/she will be ill. But anyway the change is coming. Women don’t agree for this unfair division of roles any more. They want to be treated equally and they start to organize themselves to change it. Many men don’t want them to be treated like this as well. There are more and more partnership family model.
