Disney's 'Descendants' franchise returns with a new adventure to Wonderland

from Streamed & Screened: Movie and TV Reviews and Interviews

Disney has plenty of film franchises, but the biggest in recent years has to be the direct-to-streaming "Descendants" series. Launched in 2015, followed by "Descendants 2" in 2017 and "Descendants 3" in 2019, the series shifted in 2024 with a new cast for "Descendants: The Rise of Red." Many of those new characters return for "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland." In this episode, co-host Bruce Miller first has an interivew with Kiara Romero (Hazel Hook, daughter of Captain Hook), Alexandro Byrd (Luis Madrigal, son of Luisa Madrigal) and Liamani Segura (Pink, daughter of the Queen of Hearts and younger sister of Red), followed by a second interivew with co-stars Malia Baker (Chloe Charming, daughter of Cinderalla and King Charming) and Kylie Cantrall (Red, daughter of the Queen of Hearts). Bruce and co-host Terry Lipshetz also chat about the impact of the series on a younger generation of Disney fans.
