I dispositivi medici sono tutti quei prodotti: strumenti, attrezzature, apparecchiature, ausili che contribuiscono a prevenire o a curare una qualsiasi patologia.I dispositivi medici sono disciplinati dai nuovi regolamenti Europei n. 745/2017 e n. 746/2017. I nuovi regolamenti coesisteranno fino al 2020 con le antecedenti leggi (Direttiva 93/42/CE e Direttiva 2007/47/CE). Nel 2020 le vecchie direttive verranno abrogate.
