this is ¶radio hummingbird’s contribution to this week’s disquiet junto with the serial number 0595. in short, the requirement for this contribution was to record a static sound with the aim of animating it manually with the help of a filter. for this assignment i recorded a chord-of-sorts onto a tape loop in a 4-track recorder using three differently sized wine glasses as well as a bowed cymbal. the mixed-down output has then been fed into one filter in my eurorack modular synth. this filter has been animated by itself a little only by feeding it sub-mixes of its three outputs. a LP output of that filter has been further fed into an equaliser which in return was going through a quad filter module animated by hand. furthermore, a LP-to-BP signal of the first filter has been fed into an additional LP filter with a little noise fed into the FM input of that module. all signals have then been mixed by hand alongside the subtle tweaking of the resonance and frequency knobs by hand. a daw or computers were only used for a little "mastering" in ableton live. easy. please enjoy and listen loud. :) ____________________________________________ More on this 595th weekly Disquiet Junto project, Filter Progression (The Assignment: Make music by processing a static sound), at: https://disquiet.com/0595/ About the Disquiet Junto: https://disquiet.com/junto/ Subscribe to project announcements: https://tinyletter.com/disquiet-junto/ Project discussion takes place on llllllll.co: https://llllllll.co/t/disquiet-junto-project-0595-filter-progression/
