_disquiet0599

this is ¶radio hummingbird’s contribution to this week’s disquiet junto with the serial number 0599. in short, the requirement for this contribution was to record a piece of music from 4 - 7 individual tracks mixing them organically into a unified arrangement. for this assignment i recorded a massive warbling synth drone in three layers onto tape loop playing this loop back slowed down through my looping eurorack synth arrangement. furthermore I recorded singing wine glasses, resonant threaded metal bars, bowed and beaten cymbals and chimes onto separate looping channels. lastly, sounds of flowing water played back by a voice recorder have been recorded into a final looping channel of my synth. on top of that i played back a long form field recording with a sample player whilst mixing all individual parts together utilising a low pass filter as well as audio cross modulation during the arrangement. a daw or computers were only used for minimal "mastering" in ableton live. easy. please enjoy and listen loud. :) ____________________________________________ More on this 599th weekly Disquiet Junto project, Minimal(ist) Blend (The Assignment: Make a piece of music that combines self-contained minimalist parts), at: https://disquiet.com/0599/ About the Disquiet Junto: https://disquiet.com/junto/ Subscribe to project announcements: https://tinyletter.com/disquiet-junto/ Project discussion takes place on llllllll.co: https://llllllll.co/t/disquiet-junto-project-0599-minimal-ist-blend/
