Dissecting Sleave's New EP "All These Songs Are About You" with Julien Robert
from The Powered By Rock Podcast · host Powered By Rock
Hello and welcome to the Powered By Rock podcast where I am going to be speaking with Julien Robert of the Richmond, Virginia alternative/punk/hardcore band Sleave today. They have a brand new EP called All These Songs Are About You that just came out at the end of October via Engineer Records in the UK and Sell The Heart Records in the U.S., and it is a 4-song roller coaster ride and marks their first new music since 2019. I actually came upon these guys via me playing music videos on YouTube and their videos coming up after something that I had played which led me to immediately post about how awesome they were on Instagram. I believe it was the video for “Swept” and then subsequently watching the other videos immediately afterwards. The band has grown over the years to the point that they toured Canada and even India, and they are in the process of putting out more music in the near future. So, keep your eyes open for all the goodness that your ears will enjoy soon. Intro Music: "Colorado" by Birds Love Filters Outro Music: "Snail Mail" by Speedway Sleeper Donate to keep the Powered By Rock Podcast alive and well: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/poweredbyrock "Icarus" broadcast with direct consent from Sleave Checkout Sleave's Links: https://linktr.ee/Sleave Checkout Julien's Recommendation - Chico Buarque, Birds in Row Thanks to our sponsors: https://diyrockcareer.com https://www.brooklynbowl.com/las-vegas https://www.instagram.com/blacksheep.booking/ https://linktr.ee/asteroidmrecords ▬ Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Intro 00:43 - Speaking with Julien Robert of Richmond based rock band Sleave about their new EP "All These Songs Are About You" 40:31 - "Icarus" by Sleave 44:28 - Julien Robert from Sleave hot seat questions 01:15:07 - diyrockcareer.com 01:15:38 - What does Sleave have coming up in the future?
