Dissection: Storm of the Light's Bane

In our further blackened death coverage (and, man do we love genre names) we conclude our discussion on Dissection, with their Storm of the Light’s Bane record. Considered a benchmark album, and rightly so, Storm… still holds up as one of the genre defining classics of the 90s. Dissection did have a brief return to the scene with Reinkaos and Maha Kali, but neither captured the fire and blazing ferocity as their first two records, so we’re ending our coverage here. Don’t get me wrong, there are some good songs on the a fore mentioned albums, but not enough in our minds to justify another show.
