Dissentience's Connor Valentin

Connor Valentin from the Death Metal, Thrash Metal band Dissentience swings by the Distorted Dialogue Podcast to talk about the latest Extended Player they just dropped, Kaiju. Kaiju is written as a concept album infusing a Japanese style story of mass destruction by monsters, all being soundtracked by a punishing metal soundtrack. Connor tells how Dissentience settled on this concept, and how they went about incorporating into their writing. Dissentience has a distinct and unique blend of metal and having the drama in the music doubling down on this imagery, really helps drive these themes home, making for an even better listening experience.We spent as much time talking about the music we love, more so than their own album, but it really helped provide context on how they came up with some of the ideas, and how they approached this album.
