Dissing an Ex

The plaintiff says she met the defendant on a dating app and loaned him money. She claims she also bought him items to help him out, so she’s suing for her money back. The defendant says it wasn’t a serious relationship and claims he never asked her to give him anything. Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to perform at her daughter’s bat mitzvah, but when the state of Connecticut shut down, the party had to be canceled. When she asked the defendant for a refund, he said he didn’t have the money, so she’s suing him to get it back. The defendant says he’s been a DJ for 34 years and was willing to give her a credit, but she wants a refund.  Plus, the plaintiff says he brought his car to the defendant’s shop for new rims, but one of his employees crashed into it. He’s suing for the thousands it will cost to repair and repaint the classic car.
