DISSIPATE Impact

from Life Defense · host Allen Hughes

Jerri looked at her opponent’s intent as he all at once drove straight for a hard tackle after she’d made a less than polite response to his rude comment. Jerri had a couple of older brothers of her own and both were wrestlers so she’d seen it coming. As the much larger boy dropped his level Jerri carefully timed his tackle and fell her full body weight on his advancing head and mid back. Her graceful DISSIPATION to all his speed and power sent him face first into the grass between them. Thunk! By the time her aggressor had shaken off the stunning blow and he’d spat out the grass lodged in his teeth Jerri was on to the next class no worse for the wear. This is what DISSIPATION looks like in self defense. DISSIPATION happens subtly in conversation as well when someone aggressively states an opinion and the receiver chooses to DISSIPATE through humor, silence or changing the subject. Just like in self defense the response is everything. DISSIPATION lessens the energy and allows it to “go to ground.” No energy is added and in fact any effort to increase response is DISSIPATED to zero. Such an effective way to deal with a headlong attack…So powerful! What will you DISSIPATE today? DISSIPATE! Allen Hughes Life Defense Coach #lifedefense #dissipate #allenhughes
