It’s not me it’s you, manipulating the emotions and create feelings of “hot and cold.” Nathan was anipulated emotionally in an attempt for his parents to maintain control. Filled with the uncertainty of safety and living with emotional and psychological abuse, Nathan had no choice but to adapt and forget. In his adult life, in order to not lose what he had built in his life, he learned how to self-sabotage – “make sure you guys don’t get anything” – ending up driving himself to ruin. Recently, a friend stepped in and gave him a swift kick to take a look at what was happening. Nathan has been working on uncovering the dark spots in his life and embracing the reveal of his past. He has found the courage, the truth, and the determination to uncover the secrets of his life. Loose ends are now coming together, and he can now understand his story.
