Distracted by Doing

Can we become so busy doing good things, even things for Jesus, that we forget to spend time with Jesus? In this message from Luke 10:38–42, Pastor Tanner explores the story of Mary and Martha and the danger of allowing responsibilities, ministry, school, work, and relationships to crowd Jesus out of our lives. Martha’s service wasn’t sinful, but her distraction eventually produced anxiety, comparison, criticism, and resentment. Jesus invites us to choose what is better: to sit at His feet, listen to His voice, and allow everything we do for Him to flow from time spent with Him.
