EPISODE 38 - CARLA STANGENBERG Carla Stangenberg is a Reiki master who lives in Brooklyn, NYC. Her interest in Reiki took a quantum leap when she visited a yoga student in the hospital with an inoperable brain tumor. She witnessed a Reiki master treating her bedridden student as she entered the hospital room. Carla immediately knew she would pursue Reiki to assist in life's most difficult situations.She has been practicing Reiki daily since first initiated in 2009, and in 2016, she received the first of two master trainings.As a yoga teacher, she began incorporating Reiki into restorative yoga practice at Jaya Yoga Center in Brooklyn, NY, established in 2000 where she is co-owner, teacher, and director of teacher training. She’s a graduate teacher from the International House of Reiki, led by world-renowned Reiki master Frans Stiene. She also trained with the Center for True Health and the International Center for Reiki. To gain an even deeper understanding of Reiki practice, Nathalie went to Japan to practice Zen Buddhism at the Chokai-san International Zendo.
