In this interview, Reiki Unified’s Rita Glassman, Susan Mitchell, Christopher Tellez, and Helene Williams explain to us what’s at stake and how we can prevent the establishment of licensing that could result in: Inability to share Reiki sessions even with friends and neighbors without a license, which will imply cost and further training often unrelated to Reiki Having to invest up to several thousand dollars to be licensed to teach Having to follow an established curriculum to teach, which will be the same for over 150 lineages putting the beautiful diversity of our community at risk We urgently need more signatures to oppose the first wave of legislation hitting Massachusetts, which could rapidly spread to other states.
