We might not like that question either. Here are some instances where we have a divided allegiance. To say “All gods are equal” when they are not. 2. To say “All truth is valid” when it isn’t. 3. To say “We must never offend” when we can’t help but offend. 4. To go along to get along with the king when the king is wrong. 5. To say “Faith is to be private” when it cannot be. When the fire fell on Mt Carmel the cry went up “The Lord He is God!”It is time to make a choice.

This message examines the dilemma the people of Israel found themselves in. On the one hand they wanted to be considered people the one true God. On the other hand they wanted to serve and celebrate the pagan deity known as Baal. Elijah put the question to them. “How long do you halt between two opinions?” They couldn’t have both Yahweh and Baal. They did not like Elijah’s question.
