Divine Factory Reset

Think about operating a smartphone or a computer network that has become sluggish, riddled with background glitches, and corrupted by hidden malware. We can delete a few files, close open windows, or change the background wallpaper, but the system still lags because the core operating software is compromised. The only definitive solution is a total factory reset—wiping the drive completely clean and reinstalling the original master software from the manufacturer.​In our spiritual lives, we often find ourselves bogged down by the background noise of old offenses, carnal habits, and subtle pride. We try to fix it with willpower, but what we truly need is a spiritual factory reset. When we pray, 'Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me,' we are handing our internal system back to the Manufacturer. We are asking Him to wipe away the corrupt files of our past and download His pure nature into our spirits. Loving Him wholeheartedly requires a clean operating system.
