Divine Mercy Sunday: Reflecting on God's grace, forgiveness, & love given to us through Jesus Christ

Today we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, reflecting on God's merciful love in our lives along the road of faith that is provided through the cross and resurrection of Christ.  Throughout our journey, we each need mercy which comes in the form of forgiveness, grace, and patience.  As we reflect upon scripture and how Thomas doubted, yet he was invited back into the fold with Jesus showing up in his life, may we too understand that we are never void of God's merciful love. During this episode I give a brief history of Divine Mercy Sunday and Jesus' powerful encounter with St. Faustina Kowalska.  We also share in the countless examples throughout the Gospels where Christ's mercy heals others, he reaches out to those on the margins, and pours out his endless love.  Jesus sees the beauty in the soul of each person he encounters and he is calling each of us to holiness so we might become more like him.
