from Judge Mathis Podcast · host Telepictures

First, The plaintiff used to work with the defendant, and they became good friends. The defendant got arrested because she had drugs in her car, so the plaintiff helped pay for her attorney’s retainer fee. He argues she hasn’t repaid him fully, so he’s suing. The defendant says she was repaying the plaintiff, but then he stopped answering her calls. Then, The plaintiff dated the defendant, but he says the defendant cheated on him throughout their relationship. He says he and the plaintiff planned on moving in together, but after they broke up, the defendant never gave his belongings back, so he’s suing for unreturned property, including a dog. The defendant argues the plaintiff never came to pick up his belongings. He says the dog was a gift, so he’s countersuing for storage fees and harassment. Plus, The plaintiff brings her daughter to court. He says the defendant was well-behaved until she started stealing. He put a cell phone in his daughter’s name, but the defendant never paid for it, so he’s suing for the balance. The defendant says the plaintiff walked out on her and her family when she was young, so she had to steal to support herself. She doesn’t think she owes her father.
