DJ Jimmy Stuard - Live At 12 West (NY) - 4-16-77 (Jim Hopkins Remaster)

DJ Jimmy Stuard was was a rising star in New York City. He had made the move to NY under the recommendation of Billboard Magazine's Barry Lederer in 1976. Stuard was originally from Oklahoma, and moved to Boston to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Like many others (Arthur Baker, Tom Moulton, Maurice Starr, Michael Jonzun, John Luongo, etc.), he emerged from the fertile Boston scene before relocating to NY. Boston disco fans will remember him as an early DJ at the club 1270, and in both cities his influence and technique as a DJ is still famed. His only record work was mixing the US version of "Sessomatto," the first release on West End Records.
