the the howdy howdy welcome to turn suns and bitches yeah you old you old cow hide with like an insult that it's like a old tumbleweed you sorry old tumbleweed welcome we you know we took a little detour last week a little birthday detour it was it's the boy's birthday right the boy break it's his birthday and uh we're back we're back on the horse I'm shooting up between my toes for our final instalment of the exploration of the western genre by the cowards robin dan funny because we didn't do that movie yeah we did but still got that one still fun though in the still funny to call ourselves cowards yes well what would you call us? that's accurate yeah um this week this week you know we I'd say we step away from a week we come back everything's way different everything is way way different we're in the 2010 we are heard of them Obama Obama oh wow the treason is Obama that's right um what else can we say about 2012 well a certain a certain Austrian actor captured our hearts did for some reason for like way too hard uh yeah this was this was the era of like getting really into a novelty actor I guess so who uh you know or like treating an actor as an almighty yeah now everybody was Chris off-walls after in glorious bastards which he was great in I mean that whole thing that's very good and he was very scary and silly at the same time which was that's a tough one to pull off in this I think he's the weak link I think I mean he's not bad by any means but it's like he's probably you know I think he's the he's having the hardest time I think he's having the hardest time I like that the character being like a foreigner in the old west kind of thing but having seen now all of our western films even with Europeans in our Speedy Westerns isn't that funny that Speedy Western is more of a a schnitzel wester yeah what's the other stuff that's more like pasta the German you know I'm trying to pasta yeah oh yeah oh I didn't know that was a thing it's like yeah it's okay we don't have to go down a hole are you looking over you know rabbit hole about this and I was trying as I'm saying yeah yeah spezel western yeah yeah spezel western uh oh that's all spezels if you didn't do pretzels you could have done spetzle them just saying it's a it's a genre I think it's not too late for me there what's all you know like guys name is a pretzel the pretzel guy nominative determinism and it's finest a yeah yeah that's uh how I got into I'm trying to think what's like a horrible job uh well my last name was Wampty hunter I had that's funny like I do think about that now every time I'm watching a movie with a bounty hunter how like the real life version of a bounty hunter I know there's like a period piece and stuff but like modern day modern day bounty hunter guys are like the lowest the lowest people alive I don't know it's like being a security guard except worse because you carry zip ties yeah are you saying dog the bounty hunter is one of the lowest humans alive I think so I think so it's like he because he is like if Hulk Hogan were a bounty hunter uh yeah you know that's accurate yeah that's the only to find line it's one of those jobs that be like a in when you're written down on paper it sounds like oh it sounds like a cool kind of thing at least story wise from a story perspective but in actual practice you're like this has got to be like one of the worst jobs to be to be the bounty hunter to be really good at it it sucks and then to just do the job I think sucks you know sucks yeah and also like the people you're going out there are generally not um as this movie paints it you know like people who deserve to be gone after or whatever I mean yeah although this does kind of legal system and yeah it's yeah yeah do these people really do the rest of the first place et cetera I I think you know to movies credit it does kind of like wait into that those waters a little bit a little tiny bit it's sort of like there's a brief detour where they're like all right we have to go into the plot of unforgiven real well yeah where he kills that guy in front of his boy yeah his kids like dad all the pigs are sick he's like god damn it why is it so hard to keep a big healthy who's getting these pigs sick so do we say this week it's Django and chains we're talking about Django and chains 2012 yeah I I hadn't seen this I only know this is your favorite movie to quote you're always saying stuff I'm like whoa what's that from tell me that's from something yeah yeah it's from something yeah I couldn't hold noticing a lot of that wasn't in here must be the director's kind oh my god director's cut what is that seven hours long this movie so apparently QT that's going to turn to know did want to do like a like a four hour cut and do it and like presented as a four part miniseries or something that'd be sick I mean I get down with the hateful he put that movie out and now that movie is like three hours and then like later on he did the an extended cut which ended up being which he released as a four part like miniseries on Netflix I want to say well honey like that also hatefully started as Django sequel spin off like another adventure of Django that would have been good yeah but yeah I guess I don't know it's such like a I guess it doesn't matter at all but yeah I don't know I do rob as time goes on the lesson to world building I become yeah the more like things should just be well little high you know artifacts no I agree I don't until themselves listen I if they here's the thing I'm with you I think like world building is not necessary what I used to like was just like sequels where it didn't have to be like and now we're really going to blow out the world and find out like how sausage is made or what's even worse prequels yes how do we end up in the I don't care that was I already I already suspended my disbelief you don't have to explain yourself thank you how about a scene where mr Calvin candy is talking about the differences between white and black people's midi glory in town in the prequel yeah yeah I don't know even sequels I'm like I don't just don't I don't like well I don't know except for grandma's do full yeah that's the best movie ever um I got yeah I mean I guess in the past like 15 years the whole like Marvel DC everything had to be like a world it can't just be a thing I don't know I always enjoyed when they were like oh you like to those characters or that character whatever here's a new adventure that they're on I could I like new adventures I'd like that oh you would love old my friend old Christine is that a julie lewy dreyfus that's right and one of Sykes and I want to say hanish link later oh I think you're right yeah he is he is a hand shown the hand man he's there not a vampire I don't like that and that's okay oh no money it's not a day at all not okay hanish uh bloody um yeah so this is our first quintet in our movie also Dan that's surprising but now are you a cutie fan am I a cutie by yeah you like the stuff right yeah I like them I like them I'm not a category of like his fans are more obnoxious than needs to be told I it's sort of like it's always enjoys movies I agree and I will say I haven't seen the full oeuvre but um I do think with him the issue is like it is elevated like he's like a you know I'm gonna say it master crafts yes he knows what he's doing like they they're legit good movies but they're also so digestible that I think for people who want to put on errors and don't want to do the work it's like it's the perfect guy for yeah sure um and it's like easy to be annoying it is easy yeah of course um which ones haven't you seen Jackie Brown which I'm told is like the best one it's crazy I know um Jack hey fully I haven't seen and maybe that's it I gotta take a look at the full list and there's like death proof the one from grindhouse you probably saw that oh yeah I just get it done yeah just Jackie Brown death proof they fully um yeah I always kind of like uh yeah Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown are kind of like they're always like neck and neck for my favorite queen Tarantino movies I like the stuff after that the kill bill and glorious bastards etc but they're they're so heightened in the genre where like yeah like reservoir dogs Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown they're like heightened as far as like the dialogue and whatever but the the movies themselves feel much more grounded um sure I just like that a little bit more I mean my understanding is that's what people like about Jackie Brown is that it is like it feels it's like his most greatest greatest grounded because I mean uh I'm sure he worked on the script but he you know it's based on an Elmore Leonard book so it's not like you know fully his thing um but yeah I mean like everybody's so fucking good in that movie and it's basically like you know it's it's a crime movie and it's coming off of Pulp Fiction so like Pulp Fiction is this huge explosion you know this big fucking movie in 1994 and he falls it off with Jackie Brown which is like it's it's a similar thing where it plays with time a little bit the linear stories and whatever but it's so much smaller and not as like stylish yeah not as like in your face with like the you know no one's uh no one's drawing a square in the bottom line on the screen dance sequences and nobody's there's no gimp you know shit like that where's the gimp man it's more about like aging I think in general but it's just uh it's it's the fucking best it really is so sure um I do kind of thing I mean a nice thing I mean it's kind of nice that there are so few movies with him and it does feel like there's a line down the middle between maybe like the kill bills and everything after yeah but like I mean Inglorious Basters, Jango and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are all barking up roughly the same tree um especially obviously like Inglorious Basters and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood especially in the way that they're doing like the historic cool revisionism or whatever um that's not even the right term for it they're just rewriting his right yes um and Jango to an extent is doing that um in the sense of like it's probably couldn't have happened right and it's also heightened anyway but like I do think there's something interesting to the sort of premise of like presenting this stuff as like you know genre fodder or like exploitation fodder and and sort of like I don't know you're starting with especially in this one in Inglorious Basters like you have room for the arch villainy that these genres depend but it's supported by the historical record yeah which is such an interesting sort of like push and pull um you know it's it's uh I'm always like with Terence you know like because of the fans right I feel like so many of his fans are just like you know it's that like film bro kind of bullshit right like yeah he has a lot of dummy dummies for fans whatever right um but he is like a pretty smart guy you know like obviously you know he's a master you know filmmaker and whatever but in the writing and all that stuff but even like I listened to his podcast and stuff and then like he knows like he knows a lot of shit like the film stuff especially like he's in psychopedia but you know just everything like he seems like pretty with it you know he's yeah he does seem like he doesn't seem like Django but like whatever yeah I think Django is like you know when this first came out you know the critics of it were very like so much like negative criticism at ages like you know milk right where it's just like oh like the language and the violence it's it's not it's not like respectful of the setting or whatever and like I that was like kind of rattling in the back of my head going into it I don't think that's true at all I think it's like very sensitive to what it's doing fix it too and gets away with a lot that a lesser you know writer filmmaker I agree I sort of felt I mean it's you know people have been talking about like Tarantino and his use of the n-word in his movies in general right and you know there's that scene in Pulp Fiction where he you know we cast himself as a guy who says the n-word and I think that's that can still be questionable for sure but like sure I don't think like you know the use of the word or whatever I mean like in this movie it's like oh they're bad guys so like they are bad guys they they should be saying you know I also do feel like like doesn't his character not use in this he doesn't hurt no I feel like that is sort of like him trying to do a little like reference or whatever I know that's my bad I think he you know it's that thing about like I'm a young filmmaker I'm trying to be edgy and shit like that and sure whatever and then you know maybe get a little bit older a little hindsight you're like I probably shouldn't have done that when I cast my soul in this movie set in the south and I'm a slave trader a sliver yeah exactly I won't say the word but also funny that he made himself Australian it's very silly too there's like a couple of them are Australian right it's him and the one other guy yeah I like that not to get to off topic with it but yeah I think like I think this is just like the other thing too is that like it's set in a time and a place when like yeah man this is like I was kind of like how people talked and yeah is it extremely violent yeah and you know what else it was pretty violent right right it was pretty violent but I also think there's like such a you know he goes through the trouble of sort of like contrasting what like the stylized violence of you know like the fucking bounty hunter hits and you know just when they're just like mowing down slavers versus like when that guy gets attacked by dogs yes and like and which is like a man dingo fight where in the right it's just it's brutal it's brutal and like upsetting right and the one guy's like crying is it happening and it's like I feel like because like I don't know providing that contrast is like really important making this I feel by the end of it yeah I think I think you're right also I don't know man like it's like this yeah I don't know it's so much work goes into making these guys seem like the worst people ever these these white boys and I've fully achieved yeah real quick making the oh no yeah go ahead just the added detail that candy is a is a sister lover so weird it's so fucking weird and again it's like it feels weird to call anything in this movie understated but like they never like make out or anything it's always just like you're like don't it's like everything right it's that same sort of highwire active just like it's like you have all these people in slavery in your house and we're just like not acknowledging it head on right right um I don't know if I talked about this on the last western episode what was the last episode that we was western when we did was it the quick and uh no what was the one right before that the we were doing like one off from oh was it dead man is that it it was it must have been yeah because that was the other one that week um because uh I don't know if I talked about it on that episode but if I did I'm gonna repeat myself right now uh all of these movies that we've done uh but on the main feed and the patreon which by the way patreon.com slash tingepod five dollars a month oh sign up you get the bonus episodes every friday we pair those with a Tuesday episode so they're always like a double beach and hey I bet that links in the show notes you damn right it is um yeah but everything that all of the movies with the exception of my darling clementine shares at least one actor between movies so you know we started off with unforgiven right unforgiven and fistful dollars has clineyswood unforgiven also has jean hackman who was in the quick and dead which has leonard a caprio who's in this movie which features franco niro who's gonna be in the movie that we watch on friday uh it also has um rub his hogtied and red red 20 red darn um was it uh there was like there's a connection between um tombstone I had this all I had a cork board with straying and everything but I had to take that down um between tombstone and this no it was between um because there was a bunch of people in tombstone right uh was it uh fucking who was the narrator? Robert Mitchum uh Robert Mitchum was an narrator in tombstone he also played oh right and he's in dead man yeah yes um and and also lance andriksen was in the quick and the dead and dead man um they were all connected they all have like at least one strand like connecting all of these movies that was it that was it sure it was just something that I full thought it was just something that I noticed and spiraled out of control about it I can imagine that being hard for you who's always noticing when when someone wasn't something else you watch yeah just like robert michum's face and like the howdy the captain how'd he void yes the pazuzu yes yes um so uh what else here we got um so yeah written directed by quint and tarantino starring jamey fox as jango a slave and turned bounty hunter um that's right and you know like tarantino especially after like 2000 especially he's I mean I guess always he's playing with like you know genre movies of course but you know this is like it feels like a mix between a spigaty western and a black exploitation movie um which is a lot of fun I think sure just the whole like idea like just the premise that premise alone of like what if a slave became a bounty hunter you know and then like even there's a line in the movie um where uh chris off waltz's character of dr shultz um asks jango if he likes uh the job of being a bounty hunter and he says uh killing white folks for money what's not to like about that yeah which is another thing a running theme throughout all of these westerns which are mostly focused on white men but whenever we see we get like the perspective from uh any person of color they're always like I can't wait to kill some white folks like man I hope hope you guys all die um who was it uh uh who was the the native american in dead man nobody or nobody nobody nobody yeah of course and he was just like you kill white man you're my guy you're all right my bar okay same thing with the native american in um the quick and the dead uh the guy cannot be killed by bullets yes like I just want to kill white guys I like that I like that in these movies you know it's kind of like you know with the book sort of closed on you know it's like this all happened already sort of the most you can ask for it yeah I mean like I said like so many of these all these movies are focused on you know white guys like they're all like throughout you know the western genre is basically just like how awesome are white guys in the old west you know but like whenever whenever pops up this is like this is like very committed to not indulging that to the degree that even the good white guy is that is not american yeah totally right yep uh yeah so christoph waltz please dr ken Dr ken sholes yes a german dentist turned bounty hunter um who rides around in a wagon with a big tooth on a spring up i like that dr sholes and this is my horse fritts and fritts uh and fritts does a little trick of course we are here to parlay we are we we wish to have a moment of your time to parlay speak english uh that accent is funny uh you got dicaprio as calvum uh mr mr calvin j candy um he's you know it's crazy to me actually upon seeing this is how big his head has gotten his his head has grown quite significantly larger than the quick of a duck it's crazy how much yeah he's got to make it he's got to make an appointment to go to lids he does he's got to get ready for him we want to fall down all those years in the pussy posse no it's i i think i was surprised that there's like a meme of this character because it's it's just like i know i know it's out of context but it's just like such a grotesque character is the one where he like turns around in the chair or no it's like he's holding like a brandy snafter he's like oh yeah yeah yeah he's like doing a laugh i know what you're talking about that's crazy i don't know it's just like i'm gonna say i don't memes are bad i think that's probably true i think it's bad and it's like people say puns are the lowest form of comedy i think memes are the lowest form of comedy there i said i disagree that's fine but uh you know maybe this is just a myself hating strength it's possible but yeah i don't know it's all bad let's say that they're both bad yeah for sure yeah karaoke washington is broom hilda hildee on shaft broom hilda uh doesn't really have a line in english until the last scene of the movie right it's correct um and she's sort of like the again like it's i don't know there's a lot of like obviously like tropeiness going on these playing with so she's very like damsel in distress but again the sort of tension of like her terror being played is real and not like theatrical you know i think all of them all of our terrors seem so scary it's terribly it's so very fact someone someone please help and they're like we are um but yeah and look here's what i'll say this movie the events of this movie are only the beginning the tip of the iceberg of what i do to protect her of course um can we say it uh karaoke washington uh smoke show uh total big time time smoky big time sam jackson samuel el jackson as steven um a slave but also like a consigliere for lienartos calvin k about a fictional character who is right is made is so meant to be that right like that's the whole point of the character right um but i just don't know what i don't know what the climate is i'm sort of an sort of an avuncular fellow right yeah yeah um anyway but yeah uh he plays steven uh such uh i love i mean the character is so great right he's playing it so well um it it feels to me like a little bit earlier in the movie before we meet steven um dr shultz uh tells jango the plan you know he explains what he you know the plan that he's cooked up to get broom hilda back right and he's saying like yeah we get into the whole like mechanisms but he's like we're we're gonna be playing part and i'm you know we're gonna be uh uh present ourselves as mandingo purchasers right and uh and and jango says there's nothing worse in the world than uh a black slaver and he's like and that's how i want you to play it right is like be the worst like the like the epitome of like the worst possible thing that anyone like everyone has to hate you like that's how you have to do that and that's how i think i feel like tarantino talked to sim jack's in a matter totally totally and what's so what's so interesting for like better word is like when steven and jango end up in a room together steven like hates jango because he is like more pleasing right to to miss your candy he's like there's like a jealousy to him totally yeah um let's see who else we got in this thing there's so many fucking cameos in this movie but i know uh well walton goggins has billy crashy sort of like one of the henchman for candy on the plantation we i don't think we said but he's a he's a he's a plantation owner and a mandingo trader and i guess we'll explain what a mandingo is at some point also not a confirmed real thing i'm happy to say oh okay well i thought for sure that was a real thing uh i mean i don't think it's like i don't think there's like a there was ever like a culture of it yes but anyway um yeah walton goggins billy crash walton goggins in this uh i remember being shocked in the theater when walton goggins uh grabs uh jamey fox's penis yeah where he takes off his glove and then then grabs his penis yeah it was crazy to me um because i just like you don't condone i mean everybody can grab as many penises consensually as they want i just i'd never see anything like that in a movie before it's pretty intense it's so intense and like at that point like jamey fox is like a oscar winning actor and i i don't think i even really knew who waltong goggins was by name at that point like probably just like seen him you're like there's the guy who there's the the caricature artist drawing come along yeah look at that guy's fucking teeth um but yeah i just was a predator forehead just shocked by them um about don johnson it's big daddy in this oh so good don johnson has himself don johnson i feel like this is the like right around this time is like this this don johnson resurgence like he's he has like a bit of a renaissance where the don johnson the johnson johnson johnson johnson yeah um where he would just like pop up in like uh movies like he put you know cameos and do whatever but like i don't know for so long he's he was like a uh miami vice kind of joke at least like that's how i knew him was like he was on miami vice and when somebody wanted to like insult like saying that you know you look like john johnson from miami vice because you're wearing like you know pink shirt or some shit like that right but yeah and then he just like comes out he comes he's in this and his character is well such a piece of shit but like a very fun piece of shit to watch you know his name you know he calls himself big daddy and all that shit sure um yeah really it's good it's good character sure um said franco niero right the original jango who else now what it what if for people who don't know the original jango what's like an original jango 1966 this is big eddy western um and i think he might be a bounty hunter in that as well but um but we're gonna watch it like i said for the episode on friday but it's basically like it opens and we see jango and he's you know he's cabbies gunslinger and shit and he is dragging a coffin behind him like not on a horse he is walking dragging a coffin and he drags it for a long time and you're like what is in that coffin it's really good um and then we ultimately we do find out and i think it's good i think pays off but we'll we'll talk about that friday um let's say cameos let's see um you got um so uh this guy uh don strout who by name i i don't even really know him but he plays the um uh the sheriff that shultz shoots and then he's like and now you could get the marshall right oh yeah um we've seen him before in the movie perdida dorango no shit plays remember the character of marcellus santos the cross-ass character yes yes with like a fucked up i just i just i don't know i i think that's a time go but yes i do um so yeah so uh don strout here uh who says here russ tamblin dr jacobie itself i i must have blinked because i missed it yeah that's he uh when that same town when they ride in there and they stop at the bar he is standing out outside there and he's the one who says uh there's an inward on a horse and oh yeah that's him um he'll blink and miss and that's a wrap that's a wrap on real they get him a cake that says that on it um i i got a shout out it's not a cameo but i mean look garden state looms large in my mind i can't not call out when someone from garden state is in another movie we're watching we're watching uh the guy who plays dartanian yeah um he plays to tembe and gardens oh yes uh so shout out to tembe yeah there you go there you go phonetically even kind of a similar character kind of moving right along um russ uh russ tamblin plays a character son of a gun fighter and amber tamblin uh his real life daughter plays daughter of a son of a gun fighter amber tamblin misses david crosch yeah um he also got roost dern pops under another white guy who loves saying the other one he does he's a little too comfortable yeah yeah yeah but yeah i do i mean he's another one he's only on screen for maybe two minutes maybe dern jesus christ but that's why he did oh my god you hate him immediately so immediately and so deeply and despite despite i'll say his really cool sunglasses yes really cool you got sand so god i hate this fucking guy i know i know it's tough stuff out here jona hill jona hill plays baghead number two um i the blue bag of song i hate uh i think he's uh you hate jona hill the guy i i'm completely indifferent towards him i think i thought that's i just thought i think he's bad in this um in his very small role uh as like a southern guy i think he's bad you don't buy him as a southern guy and when he was like i was just asking no i don't yeah he's landed on a little too thick can i tell you i think that whole scene is kind of bogus i think it goes on too long the thing with the eyeholes right yeah it's just like this is like i think the thing that quint and i agree on least is like what's funny oh how funny right so and that's like how the annoying guys get into is like they laugh they think he's funny and i don't really think you know it's funny when quintorentino explodes yeah that's funny that's very funny no i listen i i've laughed at quintorentino movies before i think there's a lot of funny shit that happens in pulp fiction that like that it's presented as like you know graphic violence or whatever else but i'm like this is crazy and same thing like kill bill and whatever else like people getting their limbs chopped off or whatever sure yeah we're smiling we're having a great time here but um yeah like that kind of shit like that whole extended thing with the eyeholes it's i think the point of the scene is just to show how dumb these guys are and how unorganized and up their own ass but at the same time you're right i don't think it matters at all and it goes on just like minutes and in in a two hour and forty minute movie maybe not tighten it up yeah that's really what it is is like it doesn't feel like it heightens or goes anywhere it's just sort of it's like the same joke over and over for five straight days although you know what line is funny and that whole thing is like she spent all day getting 30 bags together because it's like yeah that wouldn't be easy back then you can just go to the store and buy 30 bags that's true um as big john brittle i like i'm segane i like seeing his little pig dick in sideways all right all right i was like where have i seen his pig before um what about oh all of the trackers too yeah like every one of those guys is somebody um so we bell of course from you know she's uh she played she was a film with thermon stuntwoman in a bunch of uh in kill bill uh but then she was a main character in death proof all right on screen she has a great scene in death proof where she is on the hood of a very fast moving car like she is laying on the hood and like trying to like get in and she keeps like she's like moving around the hood and she like spins around and stuff it looks very impressive because she's a stuntwoman it's like real you know yeah it's great yeah but yeah very cool and she looks cool in this even though you can't see most of her face but i do love it's such an important feature of of a western i think to have like a henchman in the back where you're like what is there now right and that's kind of her yeah she's uh she has like a bandana across her like over her face and then she carries an axe around like oh boy there's a back story there yeah michael bowing another one of the trackers uh he in um in kill bill he played buck he's buck yes of course um also played uh he was in magnolia he played uh that little genius boy who goes on the game show plays his father um he's like oh his like his evil father bad dad yeah piss your pants dad yes piss your pants yeah or like don't piss your pants no go ahead and piss your pants with him get mad at you when you piss your pants yes yes yeah um what about uh what about uh Robert karadine um what about Robert karadine fucking revenge of the nerds himself Robert karadine in this uh we saw him uh when we watched once the body parts the john carpenter anthology movie where john carpenter himself plays like a undead uh coroner i want to say he's like crip keeper type yeah yeah he's in a couple john carpenter things he's escaped from LA he's also in ghost of mars yes yes a little bit although as far as my brain's concerned i'm checking in it's telling me i haven't seen either of those movies it's been too long i do i would say weirdly i remember ghost of mars better than i remember escape from LA which seems like a crime yeah you don't remember snake plisskin surfing with beater fonda well of course i remember that well yeah uh who else uh ten uh tom sevini yeah tom sevini of course yeah people are like where have i heard that name before that's right netflix original series lock and key yeah the sevini's of course that's oh man um there's um michael parks is in this movie he plays one of the slave traders with griton tarantino uh but his son james parks also plays one of the trackers uh the two of them uh they play father and son sheriffs in from dust killed on and the grind house movies uh they're in both of those uh as the same characters as from dust killed on as well so it's just like this thing that dan hates world building um i do hate that i think it's i want to i got a shout Ted neely here uh who is again like just has a weird face but he played jesus in jesus christ super star um in the movie which is a really weird one um i could have sworn there was another guy here that maybe not maybe isn't another guy sometimes there's a man and sometimes there is a yes uh heck lost my track though um ned bellamy is in this i feel like we just saw him in something recently ned can't place it but we don't have to deal with help that was ned bellamy he's just like a character actor yeah i his name has left my lips recently no ned bellamy of course he was uh he was in edwood he played the uh chiropractor that takes over the bell and goes and he has a very small like on screen uh you know shot in the movie the player yeah did we say this at the time on the wood episode that uh he was probably cast because his last name is what his character would say when he went into makeup that bellamy it's he'd say bellamy i gotta be bella so bellamy i think he did say that i think you yes i think you did it's probably why he was cast it's gotta be right this guy's perfect yeah he's ready to go um speaking of perfect this guy louis smith who's in this movie plays jingle bells cody uh louis smith plays a character called perfect tommy in the movie adventures of buckle yeah yeah you bonsai guy i've seen it that's uh that's a that's a great one um who oh i think that's i mean that might be everybody in hollywood um it's uh you know it's just the tip uh so uh jango unchained um uh the movie opens jango chained um he is uh uh ship is when people get up there like i'm in the wrong theater no wait a second i thought it was i didn't check my movie take it here i may have purchased the wrong one um now we we see like we get like a lot it's like a montage of these yeah it's it's landscapes but again this is these are all send-ups right these are romages but uh oh they're also send-ups right because it's all these beautiful western style landscapes but men in chains are being marched through yeah um right these beautiful landscapes are being being tainted by uh the bad men doing bad things that's right um so there'd be and they're being uh james re-march i don't think we did but james re-march's here james re-march plays two characters here um plays uh one of the speck brothers in the beginning and then he plays a guy named butch uh later on in uh and at candy land but yeah in the very beginning here james russo and james re-mark but that was confusing for them um the james brothers yeah as they're known right but not those james brothers different james brothers all right i'm confused now uh but no they're uh they're transporting uh like five slaves jango being one of them they're stopped in the middle of woods by dr sholts who um it's just like very he's you know austrian german christoph waltz he speaks with his accent and very good evening gentlemen i wish to parley i can't do it i can't do it waltz but um but yeah he's uh you know he's speaking very like eloquently into these uh they're bags i'm just gonna say dip shits and they're like you know i don't understand the words they're saying i'm gonna take them as an insult right and he's like uh you know he's basically like i wish to purchase one of your slaves here uh is one of them named jango and you know he you know james fox is on jango and uh and he goes over and he starts talking to him about uh the brittle brothers and he says uh did you work at you know so-and-so plantation and do you know the the brittle brothers and jango can confirm and then the the speck brothers he's like if you if you saw them you would be able to point them out to me and he says yes identify them if you you would be able to identify them so the brittle brothers they're like hey don't talk to him the speck brothers brittle brothers are on the plantation oh sorry speck brothers speck brothers he's like i am terribly stuck i'll stop doing but he does talk like that he's not like that the entire fucking time it's crazy i am i just i know i'm i'm interested in purchasing one of your slaves and i got uh james i'm over this i'm gonna point a gun at you like no say get out of here and he's like and i like he's like sir did you just get carried away or do you actually have lethal intent with that gun then he you know pulls a hammer back he's like last jans fancy pants and then and he says oh very well and i like it he's uh shults it's in the middle of the night shults is holding a lantern up he says oh very well and then he drops the lantern you know covering him in darkness and giving him the opportunity to pull his gun and he blows james re-mar's head off yeah it's a real tone setter and then he shoots the other guy's horse in the head and sending him over and pinning the guy under the horse i am sorry i my sincere apologies for wounding your your animal your beast your beast and he's like uh he's like you know he the thing with shults too he's like he everything has to be like on the up and up because he is a uh a licensed bounty hunter so he can't break the law here so he can't just kill people willy nilly and like take a jango you know it's also just very german yeah of course they like rules yeah i love those so that one never met a german you ever know a german uh yeah oh wait that's not true i do no one one guy one guy anyway but yeah so uh he unchains jango hey now we're gonna now we got a picture and uh the script starts on page negative five you know two um and then you know he makes up this whole like bill of sale for to buy jango pays the the last speck brother there and uh and uh you know he basically is like you know uh jango you should uh you should take that guys uh the dead guys jacket boots and his horse and then we can you know right off to the next town and as he's leaving he tells the other slaves that are still there he's like so you guys have two choices uh you can carry that guy about 40 miles to the next town um and you know get him help and then you know whatever uh or you can kill him bury the both of those brothers deep in the ground and then head north to a more enlightened part of the country and just so uh there's no confusion the north star is that one right there right yeah uh all very good and then they're you see the the slaves they just they head over to the the last brother and the brother he was like come on yeah i i was nicely i gave you my last apple come on guys don't do it calls them felons yeah and then suddenly they're felons yeah and then they just fucking like they blow his head right off uh the the violence here like we were saying the violence like between when the the dog skill i won guy when the the two slaves are fighting or whatever right uh that stuff is like very brutal uh but i don't feel like it's exaggerated right it's more played as like uh this is like fucked up right all of the gunfire shit like the the squibwork is the the blood is just exploding off of everyone it's crazy yeah it's like it's sort of like the degree to which the blood geysers or like the body parts evaporate yes is proportionate to how guilty their soul is you know i mean because like i don't know like uh i'm trying to think they're like a couple bystanders at the the candy shootout like the candy plantation shootout and they don't get certain treatment right they just like get shot and fall over right but then like the white devils like their heads are exploding like pimples which is cool which is cool yeah there's like it's like it's meant to be cathartic i think like it seems very intentional right i think it's that i think it's quintessential doing his like um you know exaggerated while i was talking about it he fell in love with it on kill bill yeah you know like kill bill in that sword fight scene when she's like lapping people's limbs off and there's like right it's like it's like a blood that comes out live action anime exactly yeah um so uh they they ride to the next town everybody is completely freaked out to see a black guy on a horse the one that gets to the bar uh the bar tender or bar owner whatever he freaks out and shultz tells him to go get the sheriff and sheriff comes and he's like all right boys you know fun's over let's go and uh and he says his name it's like bill something and uh shultz shoots him first in the chest and then in the head and then he tells the bartender now you can get the marshal right and then marshal shows up and marshal has he says there's a hundred guns pointed right at that front door in every exit and uh do i have your words that you do not intend to kill me yes there's a lot of that he's like did we seem like drawing up paperwork and uh you know it's going through this like sort of like very procedural legally kind of thing eventually comes out and he's like i got a warrant for the arrest of this man who you know as sheriff once his name yeah um in fact he is some other guy some piece and real piece of shit right he's part of this gang um and i would you know willard pack yes and it says like it's something like um you know uh the good people of this town saw fit to elect him sheriff but uh two years ago but three years ago he was uh stealing cattle from this farm and whatever and there's a downy on your own set and basically marshal what i'm trying to say is you owe me two hundred dollars which is a pretty good line um yeah it's it is interesting like i'm sure this is like written for him but couldn't help him at anything how cool i would have been out like anybody else you know yeah i i i think at the time it was like because everybody was still a little high on englorious bastards and then yeah and he's playing such a bad guy in that and then to see him sort of play a good guy here you're like oh this is like fun that could be on his side we're having a good time here um i do find all of his there's it's a lot of like over i i feel like some of this movie is a little overwritten as far as like uh shults with like all the legality kind of stuff he's like do i have your word that you're not gonna shoot me and you know whatever and uh basically all of the sort of ins and outs of like stopping any questions from the audience of like how why wouldn't anybody just shoot them well i'm gonna make sure that shults you know checks with everybody make sure they want all that kind of stuff you know what i mean right um it's again at the time i thought it was fine on this watch i felt a little like it's all stood by it's a little greener yeah but um but that's it yeah i don't know there's often too much wind up a lot of wind up these yeah um after this we get a we get a little bit between jango and shults where he says like the shults are basically like listen i i hate slavery but uh in this particular situation i'm gonna maybe you i want to use it to my advantage but uh i do have a moral problem with it so i'm gonna ask you if we can enter into some sort of an agreement here where you help me find the brittle brothers and identify them and get them and after that i will give you your freedom and like seventy five dollars and you know you can go on your way you could go be free right um i do like when he's like um before they go to big daddy's plantation in the conversation you know he tells him tells uh jango tells shults that he was married to a woman in bruhilda um that you know all this stuff and whatever and shults is sort of taken with this you know that this guy is you know he's married he has like you gotta imagine like at the time yeah all of this stuff like these slaves are property and this guy is like you know he's a he's a man with a wife and a wife and all of this stuff so shults take him with this he's like all right you know you're gonna play a part all this whatever um i i i like when jambie foxy's like i get to pick out what i wear and he's like yeah you can pick out you know check the closet and then it cuts to him wearing that like blue little lord font where i ask did you have you seen the painting that this is like taken from this look is taken from i think so no it is appropriately called the blue boy okay i said it to you but it's like exactly what you think it's just like a portrait of like a dandy little boy in basically that exact outfit it's it's very funny when it cuts away uh to him on the horse in that blue outfit um so they go to uh big daddy's plantation um at first big daddy is not pleased he's like i don't care what you guys want here uh we you know i don't care how they do things where you come from but around here black people are not allowed on horses right and uh shults is like well he's you know he's free man he's like i don't care and he's like i'm simply here to um you know buy one of your i think he says he's there buy one of his girls for five thousand dollars and when he says five thousand dollars it completely changes big daddy's attitude he's like oh well why don't you come in and have some that like have some cool to drink and all this shit right i was yawning so i couldn't say it at the time but big daddy's attitude big attitude but yeah um a thing that will become a recurring bit in the movie is to just like offer these these fucking guys a lot of money and they'll they just trust you yeah um social which like yeah sorry go ahead go ahead no you want to not no forget it god i'm so fucking stupid damn what are we gonna say i was no i was just gonna say that like i feel like you know when you hear sort of like apologism for slavery one of the things people say is that it was like an unfortunate reality of like an economic system and it just like it just you know okay like i guess i guess no problem then well yeah but you know what i mean where it's just like well this is just like how it was and like people in it wasn't it's almost like it wasn't racist it was just it was just economic or whatever and um this i feel like this sort of exchange just sort of underscores how more than one thing can be true yeah sure right we're like the greed and the races and they're all they all it's one hand washing the other we're dirtying the other i guess in this case so yeah they uh while the white boys are talking business uh as they're about to start talking business there is that there's that moment where uh big daddy's like uh you know uh show show jango around the uh uh you know plantation or whatever and he's like you can't treat him like any other uh oh yeah like i was because he's not like any other black guys right and uh but he's not saying like that's of course and it's like uh and the girl's like so you want me to treat him like white folks and he's like no now i didn't say that and she's like well i'm confused and he's like yeah no i can i can see that um and he has to explain it like in more detail just a funny little moment uh again just sort of triple underlining how stupid all of this is exactly exactly yeah so um she's showing jango around and uh sort of he's asking after the where their names these guys we're told brothers the Brits told brothers he's sort of asking after them and um eventually he spots one of them overseeing a field yeah of of people picking cotton and then they're just two other guys going to like punish someone right like beat somebody yeah it was like you know like little Annie for breaking eggs and i love jango's like they're gonna blow up a little Annie for breaking eggs and she's like uh huh yeah i just like the way that he said it was like he knew little Annie or something i just i like the line delivery yeah um and these guys yeah right so he knows these guys we get a flashback of them of jango and his wife trying to escape the plantation and then being whipped uh his wife being whipped and and jango is begging begging big john not to do it to whip him instead and then big john says he's like i like the way you beg boy right um it's all again all nasty nasty business right yeah um and when the girl points out oh that's uh you know Ellis or whatever out in the field um he takes out his little um what is that it's not uh telescope telescope telescope telescope you just like because you don't see it and it just sort of he like pulls it out of his pocket and then he just extends it and you see it like in the frame and again all these like little funny moments like little touches and weird like oh that's funny um but yeah they so um jango sees the the guy on the field and then uh wants to know where the other two brothers are uh jango runs up on on the two guys that are about to whip this the scurl and big john is like reading bible passages and it's all very uh i don't know it's like a real cool scene yeah well when jango gets there it becomes a real cool scene he's like big john or john britall whatever he says and then he turns and he's got one of those uh guns that like is on a slide on your arm so he just like pulls it out and like shoot pickle yeah a pickle a pickle um and just shoots big john emcee gainy right in the heart and he's and he drops the line and he's like i like the way you bleed boy yeah oh it's so good cool cool as hell yeah uh this movie is a bit rock and roll isn't it a little bit yeah i think so then the other guy the other guy freight wait takes out his gun but he like fumbles it and and then jango grabs the whip except the whip and just starts wailing on it's like another the shot of jango like right before he makes contact with the whip it's just like i don't know it it's like he's filling up the frame with his arms and he's got like his the front hand it's just like wide open like fingers spread wide and he's just like up that it just again jane fox looks so cool in this movie he has so many he's wearing the silly ass like blue outfit but he just looks like so badass i think i know he's just crushing it um yeah it's it's like i mean that shot in particular feels like so storyboarded it's so cool i thought the exact same thing like that looks like a storyboard coming it's like it's very sort of animated it is yeah right it's very like dynamic and yeah in that way so he's just whipping on him and that's less cinematic that's just like the whip's flopping all over the place and hitting him and he's just like screaming and he's having a bad time and then he kills him then he shoots him and then he shoots him and um yeah i like he's like he goes to the like the slaves they're watching he's like you want to see something yeah i gotta gather around um that's good so then uh so then sholt shows up um and he's like they're talking about he's like got two of them third ones down that field he's the guy he's like which one is he's like he's the one riding way on a horse yes so sholt says that exchange was like uh are you sure that's i mean he's like yeah i'm sure are you positive oh yeah i don't know you don't know if you're you don't know if that's him he's like i don't know positive means he's like i mean is that he's like yeah i'm sure fires shoots him like right through the chest there's that like shot of like the blood hitting the white cotton plants great great shot great and then again there's like is there not a is there a kill bill blood on the snow shot yeah yeah it's very that it's like that you know whenever there's like like a white sort of surface or whatever uh you know there's gonna be some blood on that get some blood on that i remember ever being a tenor bray tenor bray exactly i remember seeing um i've been being a kid right and my dad was watching good fellas and there's that scene where um joe peshy and his buddy they go over to samuel jaxons apartment right to kill him and uh you know they're like whatever my dad bring he's like here come here you gotta see this he's like we'll color those sheets and i'm like the other white and he's like and then you know they shoot him in the back of the head and just like you know fucking red blood explodes everywhere i remember being maybe ten years old and seeing okay thanks dad that's that's that's pretty cool that's good i like it whoa um so after they kill the brittle brothers big daddy is uh he shows up with some guys with guns and shilts does his whole like i'm a man of the law these guys are was illegal yeah and you know if you kill me that i'd have to remind you that the penalty is hanging by you know hanging to death and and then he's just like you know he shows the war and the whole thing and then they're like all right let's get the bodies and get out of here as fast as possible and then later that night is when uh they're attacked right we see we see uh sholts is a little wagon with the tooth on top we see him take out money from the tooth and replace that with dynamite and uh uh we see all these horses this feels like almost like a silent movie shot totally you know yeah i mean like triumph of the or not triumph of the well wrong racist guy yeah yeah what's the one i'm thinking of the birth of an nation yeah um very that yes right we're just see like all these uh you know kkk guys on horses with like um torches and the fire and shit and they're riding and there's this this is interesting because it kind of like it pulls back by degrees and the whole thing gets less grandiose as it does right where you see like the you see like the hooves clumping right and then you see what seems like an analyst like see of these guys in white nests and then we pull back a little farther and it's like three guys yes right um so it's like the shot looks cool as hell though it does honestly i'm just like man i hate to say it it's nice to see that many people on horses and yeah no totally hard to come by it is um but yeah this is that scene that really prolonged scene where it's just like these guys are dumb yep that's all we really have to say about it and it's just like the eye holes are in the wrong spot on the right i guess the general is the idea is like oh these guys are dumb and they also can't really see what's going on um one of the guys gets off his horse and he's under the the wagon and they're like uh he's not under here and they're like what and then we see up on a hill far away uh we see there's like we see shults in jango and uh shults shoots the tooth at the top that's filled with dynamite it explodes and everybody like everybody that's close by dies everybody you know some people are on fire they get like like the one guy like rips his hood off it starts like fucking whipping the horse with it just trying to get out of there and uh shults has something to the effect of like and uh nope now they're running as uh as cowards tend to do like that kind of shit and then big daddy gets on his horse and he's like the last one and you know they have to kill him so jango's it shults offers the gun to jango he's like okay uh you know just line up that and that okay and uh and he's like uh big daddy he's uh he's getting away he's like i got him he's uh getting away i got him and i get a lot of like really great shots the shot of the horses like hooves like or the legs right running oh yeah i love this and then you hear the shot and you're not like as you know i see blood you see some blood but you don't see anything else you don't see the bullet may contact you we're still on the horse's legs and then you just off the back of the horse just like a guy falls dead and then and then no camera moves up and you see how covered in blood the horse is now and then the horse takes off whatever it's cool man really cool um is this where he says kids are natural too it's a natural yeah and that's and then uh after this we get that campfire scene where shults right this is also we got like the text card that's like and so this is right before shults and jango okay first first they're like uh shults tells him about like the the myth of the german legend of rheumhilda who's like the sprits as who gets her father gets angry with her so she puts her up on this mountain and she's like guarded by dragons and then a fritz a guy named fritz comes and saves her right i think it's fritz could be something else i don't know um it doesn't matter it's not like this and uh what the german's doing shults is basically like listen i could uh like i could just you know like send you on your way and we could part ways right now uh or you know it's that line of like you like doing this thing it's like killing my folks with money like what's not like he's like i can teach you this job and like you know we could become partners and you know we can you know work this summer or uh this winter and then you know we'll we'll rescue rheumhilda right that'll be like right he's like he's like you can't go you can't just go there go there right and buy her freedom like they're not gonna go for that yes so um so then we get like a pretty cool montage with like i want to say it's jim crochees i've got a name playing right it feels right um we see jango in his new like he gets some like sort of western wear it's got that kind of like green jacket and like the cowboy hat it's like a little bit small right yeah he looks fuck and those like those sunglasses that he has uh it's like fucking cool look man it really this is what i'm saying i'm like oh man like you're saying you don't like see it was like i would have liked to have seen maybe one more just more of this more jango just yeah killing some folks you know um but whatever you know long it's like him uh practicing shooting becomes like a crack shot uh we get some stuff of them like killing some guys i like when they bring the guys to that that sheriff who's kind of like out in the middle of nowhere and he's like oh hey it's a marshal yeah yeah hey doc hey jango how's it going and whatever he's like who he got there and he says some gang he's like who the hell is that he's like oh you know whatever he's like all right well why don't you leave them out here and come inside get warm i got some coffee it's my birthday yeah got some cake here too as he's walking away that's pretty good pretty good and it's again like i don't know i'm thinking about later in the movie how much is made of uh calvin candies white cake or whatever yeah it's just like a little bit uh i don't know it's like a subtle thing but there's good cake and there's bad cake it's white cake um so yeah they work they work the winter and it's off to in big letters across the screen yeah miss is sib e that was cool i liked it too yeah there's like it's i feel like it's done to death now like text that takes up whole screen sure but that was cool first of all it's 2012 yeah second of all it's crawling it's crawling it's crawling it's a mississippi is a long word it's a fill up a whole you know i think it's i think it's good it also just like tells you how far they've gone to get there totally tells you gives you a sense of how imposing the situation is yeah it's good and this is this is where they come up with uh Schultz comes up with the plan he says um yeah you can't just go up there and ask to buy her because he's like all right let me give you an example here you go up to a farmer and you say i want to buy your horse and he says no and then jen goes like well i would just take a horse and he's like but then you're a horse robber and then they hang you and then the horse goes back to its owner because it's property right he's like but if you if you show up and you say i want to buy the entire farm for a ridiculous price now you have the the farmer's attention and and with that you can you know buy the the horse right it's basically a plan to misdirect the intentions here they're going to pose as uh guys uh buying a mandingo fighters mandingo are slaves male slaves that uh fist fight to the death right there's a movie about it yeah called mandingo yeah there's some like exploitation movies uh they're a few but so they're and they're gonna pose as guys buying mandingos um and they they're gonna pay an astronomical amount for you know the best fighter that candy has and as a sort of like uh he's gonna go to candy land Schultz being German is going to request you know uh Broom Hilda who speaks German they say that Broom they're gonna make her a comfort girl which you know basically just means like a sex slave yeah i do like i do like these like what does that mean and then he stops himself yeah yeah um but it basically you know ultimate goal is you know you buy uh a mandingo for a national income price and then you say oh i really take a liking to this girl who speaks German can i also buy her for less expensive price right um that's the plan and now and he tells jango that he has to be the nastiest slave trading black guy ever and jango's like there's nothing lower than that he's like that's i want you to play it and he's like all right and we got that scene at the parlor there right where we have the two guys fighting like right on the floor uh franco near us there he owns one of the guys yep the caprio there owns the other guy uh and they fight to the death right like uh decaprio's guy gouges the other guy's eyes out and then decaprio throws him like a ball peen hammer it's really nasty yeah and the yeah the caprio's guy's like crying right and yeah it's terrible um so that all plays out over the over the course of what feels like five straight minutes uninterrupted um meanwhile jango is like kind of hanging at the bar waiting for all this to play out just having a drink not looking really yeah um he's just being like he's playing a cool he's just being like kind of unaffected by anything everything here he's always playing it and uh so decaprio's guy wins right and uh so franco near like puts on his his code he's gonna get out of there uh we get the sort of the moment between jango and uh franco's character here he says what's your name he says jango he's like how do you spell it he's like dj uh an g-o he's like the dia's silent and franco near us says i know um little little shout out and then he leaves i like it's very subtle the first time i saw this i didn't get it at all because i didn't know who franco near really was and now having you know seen the movie it's one for the real heads it is it's one for for an annoying guy to laugh like really yeah too hard i i i i want everyone to know i get it i'll explain it after i'll explain it after just enjoy the film so yeah um jango is sort of like big dog and candy yes in a way that is like uh the candy finds very learning because he is an oph in a moron yes i like he uh his lawyer uh the candy's lawyer uh says that candy is a bit of a franco file and uh and he's like you know he wants to be referred to as uh mr candy and and she'll just like he starts speaking french in the lawyers like no no no he doesn't speak in the french all right don't do that it'll make him feel stupid so he's like oh okay no problem um i like that that he just wants to have the air about him of a frenchman but he doesn't actually know any of it i hate to hate to be like this but it's like it's colonial mindset baby of course like yeah um so the yeah basically jango is just sort of like that guy's fine i want to see you're real good guys whatever blah blah blah will pay you an insane amount of money for it yeah he says they'll they'll pay uh twelve thousand dollars for the right man dingo fire and uh uh candy has that line where he's like uh sir you uh uh you had earlier you had my interest but now you have my attention or something like that yeah my curiosity now you have my attention um and then the next day they head off to candy land um that's as long like sort of caravan of like horses and buggies and shit um we get there's a lot that goes on here we have like jango up on the horse and yeah that one slave that is like sort of mean mugging him and jango like yells at him and he's like you know don't if you uh if you look me like that again i'll give you some i'll give you a reason to hate me something like that yeah um and then uh shultz is like uh for no particular for no particular reason uh could could uh could uh i stop and um discuss business strategy with my partner uh so he goes back he's like oh what are you doing you're freaking everybody out like this is exactly what i'm you know this is working baby basically he's just like you got trust me i know i know i know what i'm doing here yeah so they get to candy land and like you get out that dog the dog scene first oh well i i was counting that i was gonna say the outskirts of the property or whatever there's like a there's like a there's like a quite a little bit of shack but just like a crappy wooden house where all the where are the crackers the trackers um where the trackers live and they uh there's a guy in a tree that's martania that's martania yeah there's a slave who tried to escape candy land who is up in a tree and there are a bunch of dogs at the bottom of the tree uh you know we're barking at him whatever um and this you know this place out for a while where he's just like guys like crying he's like i can't do it anymore i can't keep fighting like this and uh candy's taking this very like you know patronizing uh sweet but threatening tone yeah for lack of a better word where he's just like course you can't you know blah blah blah and like things turn on a dime where he's like i paid 500 for you i don't even get five fucking fights like it gets bad fast but it also goes on for a while he says who's gonna reimburse me that 500 you and he looks at the one slave and and then uh sholt stands up he's like i'll reimburse you and then candy's like you will right and again it's like all these all these beats that like in any other scene of the movie would be played for straight laughs sure don't they like carry so much more men is here right and then jango interjects he's like what my partner saying is he sick of you toy he's sick of waiting around watching you toy with this guy yes but we're not so we won't be paying for anything right and then sholt is like okay never mind and then he puts his checkbook away and then uh and that's when yeah candy like releases the dogs on and the dogs literally tear him apart and kill him yeah yeah and then they're off to candy like watches jango watch this happen yeah so they go they get to candy land it's like you know freaking gone with the wind or whatever yes and you know it's like a big sort of what do you call that look where it's like neo-classical i guess i don't know or victorian or something colonial colonial is probably the word for it it's like a big estate yeah and everyone's uh you know dressed in like bright colors in the house or whatever his sister is in a ridiculous gown yes where is my beautiful sister what is this yeah and it becomes apparent very quickly what it is um but yeah so we do our introductions we meet his sister who he's like damn you are you are the finest sister a brother to ask for all right guys all right guys a lot of like hand on the hip kind of stuff yeah good yeah kisses on both cheeks yep um and she's just like like every second she's on screen has this like insane smile plastered on her face she looks like she's into the movie smile too oh geez yeah um but this is also where we meet uh sam jackson's character steven yeah um and he is yeah he's like he's playing like an older man so he's got like the white hair and shit and his voice is the voice that he's using is just the voice itself is very funny yeah so it adds just like and the way the relationship that he steven has with candy is is like you know he breaks candy's balls a little bit you know um but it's all like in this very sort of safe way we'll say like he doesn't step out of bounds he's like and candy likes it he thinks it's funny that like he has a sleeve that that like kind of uh you know roasts his ass yeah yeah yeah yeah it gives him a hard time for whatever it's like again it's like with jango where he's like he likes the jango is like sort of that he's different he gives his whole speech at a dinner table about a phrenologist friend of his yeah yeah there's a bunch of phrenology stuff but uh who talks about like you know uh black black people in their brains and how um you know there are uh some black people that uh can ascend beyond talent and yada yada yada to become this one in ten thousand uh black guy and he's like and i believe that jango is that one in ten thousand and whatever right so he has this idea in his head about that right he believes in phrenology and he goes into more detail about that later on yeah you know um and then we this is where we meet uh we find out what's going on with Broome Hilda she um uh she's in the hot box uh out the field which is just his metal box that they fucking put you in yeah it's like coffin yeah and the sun beats down on you for however long you're in there yeah or you know not beats down you know like he's job it's like what 11 yeah is and you know gany's like what's she doing in the hot box he's like what do you think she's doing there in the hot box she she's being punished she tries her yeah she tried to run off yes um and uh they they take her yeah basically because gany is like a what's point in having a slave that speaks german if you can't you know bring her out when you have german guests you know get her cleaned up and bring her in the house also think it's worth noting like the you know talk about like I don't know people say this is like an exaggeration or whatever yeah it is Mississippi which was like the worst yeah it was the worst by all counts so anyway um yeah so they get her out in the uh like you know when they clean her up and they bring her to Schultz's room right um it's Candy's sister that brings uh Broome Hilda up to the room and Candy's sister is like there's this this element of her being like she's she's by no means old but she's like a little bit older than like you know like a woman say like should be uh who's not married right right um so there's this like element of her being like kind of playing into it and like showing like she's being like very like kind of sweet and whatever to Schultz um when she brings Hilda up there and Hilda is like she's kind of looking away and not like you know she's uh been beaten into like submission here right and Schultz is like not looking at Candy's sister at all and is only focused on on Hilda here it's all like just the dynamic between the three of them like that all the eyelines that are happening right there uh just all very like interesting and like there's a lot going on yeah you know with everybody just based on that you know yeah so uh right she's trying to engage with uh Schultz and Schultz just sort of like slams the door in her face yes pulls Hilda in closes the door in her face starts talking to her in German in case people are on the other side of the door yeah and gives her the lowdown he's like he's like can i he's like we have a mutual friend yeah and he's on the other side of that door yes and you need to promise not to scream when you see him and then so the door opens and again Jamie Foxx in his full like western regalia yep with the light so like shining behind him he's all back lit he just looks so fucking cool and he says he says hey little troublemaker yeah and she faints passes out yeah and uh believe Schultz says you silver-tongued devil he does so um uh it's the next you know that's that's it that's like all we see of that night and then the next day um or like later is it the same night or the next day it's the same night it's the uh the dinner scene yeah oh right right right so they're talking business um you know they're doing the whole pretense of the the fighters or whatever he's like i liked x y and z guys uh you know this guy's your best fighter but uh i don't know if he's worth you know the 12,000 we talked about he seems more like he's worth nine yeah um and as this is happening like bermilda is in the you know she's serving the meal or whatever she's like on hand and steven is like clocking everything like she keeps looking at jango and he keeps looking at her and at one point i mean there's that like fucked up thing where uh oh yeah Schultz is just like oh yeah he'll be you know great company where you're speaking german it feels so good to speak in my native tongue after all the in my native tongue after all these years and uh he's like oh yeah that's cool you want to see something else and then like shows her back with all the scars on it to him that's very like funny it's like a good conversation starter they send her off to like the camp more wine or something and then seven goes back he's like you know him don't you yeah and she's like no and she's like smiling the whole time but he's sort of like as they're talking business pieces the the gambit together the ruse and then pulls candy aside and like explains everything to him yes he's very mad he's he's pissed that he's been duped here and so he does what anyone would do he comes back out with a human skull with a human skull and provides a demonstration in phrenology he gives this whole crazy fucking thing takes a guy's skull right i forget who he says the guy is but he's a slave the guy was a slave essentially was like the steven to uh the candy's father okay there you go so which like there you go yeah yeah yeah exactly there you go too yes in terms of points being made right but he's like he's like he saws off the back of this skull and is like as you can see here black people only have three dimples on the base of their skull yep which i guess mean that it says it means that they're like more subservient yeah it's some crazy shit anyway all this he says he's basically like and i bet if we cracked open jango skull right now we'd see those same three dimples if i yes if i basherd skullin with this hammer here right so it's all it's escalating things are escalating yes um and he is just like he's sort of like he's like you know i know what you guys are up to yep blah blah blah yeah he takes vermin vermil down it takes selde he's like threatening her yeah threatening to crack or skull open um and but he basically he has guns pointed at at at shultz and jango and and everything and he's like you came here what was it to to buy a mandingo for what was it 12 000 and he's like i'll sell you broom hilda for that same 12 000 he you know he's now he's just like i'm gonna i'm gonna take all your money basically right and whatever he's like you thought you could fucking trick me and i he's like i figured it out when he didn't it was steven figured it out but um and then uh you know there's there's that moment where you know cracks the fucking hammer down he's like sold right um quick quick uh moment talking about his bloody hands yeah i mean this is like this is almost the same thing as uh vigo morton's in kicking the the thing in lord of the rings and then everybody in him actually breaking his toe um when uh when leon order caprio is getting very emotional in his speech here he like slams his hand down on the table and breaks a glass and it cuts his hand uh it really happened in real life that that's real blood or at least the first shot of it is yeah and then he just you know he's gonna carry on with these yes importantly the shot where he smears blood all over yeah yeah that's uh poor kerry washington that is not real blood um but basically so what happens here they buy hildy for the 12 grand make it all official yep and it is like it's all by the book right by the book yes the like uh frickin candies lawyer draws up the paperwork they all sign it as uh shults and jengo are in like the parlor waiting yep there's a lady playing the same fucking four bars of furlies over and over again and eventually uh this is the shot right where shults is like having flashbacks to the dogs he's having flashbacks to the dogs he uh uh candy comes out he has white cake and he offers it to shults and shults turns it down he says he doesn't want any he's like i think candy asks he's like um what are you thinking or whatever and he says who is the um uh the author of the three musketeers can't oh Alexander Dumas right and he says Dumas says something like i wonder what Alexander Dumas would think of all this and and and you know that we saw the guy that got torn apart by the dogs his name is dark tanyan i you know one of the characters from three musketeers and so he's cool yeah and candy is like uh you know he's a fan or whatever he likes the story and and shults is that's only like Alexander Dumas was black and whatever so candy it's still feeling like he's uh uh been made to look like a fool right yeah um he's like you know shults tells jango and hildee is like all right let's get out of here before you know anything before yeah whatever i can't wait to get out of here and candy just one last dig he's like we're not finished yet and he's like you have to shake my hand and it's like i prefer not to it when he's like in mrs. sivi i don't care what that piece of paper says if you you know there is no deal unless you shake my hand right and then like shults remembering the dogs and all of this and he's just like he's like he turns to jango he's like i'm sorry and and he goes up to candy with his Travis mickle gun up his sleeve and fucking shoots candy right in the chest and kills him uh it's very cool oh my god what is happening right now i've my my my my miss my miss baby she is your little troublemaker my little troublemaker here uh that makes you a big troublemaker well because you guys are in love from a look of it uh i love how um steven reacts when candy is shot no he's such a such a toady yeah uh the character butch uh the second character played by james remar takes out his shotgun and shoots shults in the chest sending him like flying against the bookshelf kill yeah shults his last words are i couldn't help myself i couldn't help myself yeah which this whole thing right this erupts into the sort of climactic gun fight of movie and it's very interesting to me that like they would have gotten away scot free i know if not for the arrogance of a well intentioned white guy sure right it's like he kind of like a well meaning like a liberal or something yeah right where it's like it's you know and really the tipping point was like the indignity of his own um honor pride yeah right yeah so it's kind of interesting and then like i do think it's very pointed that like the you know those like those two uh slaves in the house are like two of the first people to die after this initial sure back and forth so but we get we get the the needle drop moment and is this uh the two pock thing is that what it is i didn't know the song uh i believe yeah yeah you know it's like it's cool as hell jen goes just absolutely raining bullets on these these fucking these fucking motherfuckers he's calling these crackers yeah i'll say i mean all of the stuff here is very it's all super bloody and violent and whatever when you know after butch uh guns down shults right jen go like immediately acts and he takes the gun out of uh butch's like holster puts it right to his chest and fucking shoots him the lawyer tries running out of the room he gets shot in the back he gets shot like several times almost like to a comedic level where he's like people keep trying to shoot jen go and they end up shooting the lawyer um and then yeah he's just fucking unloading on all of these guys just killing everybody um it's the song that's playing is a it is it's a mashup of uh uh two pock and james round yeah there's some uh solid needle drops in the in the movie not just like uh the score is really cool it has like a spaghetti western feel to it right there's like an original song yeah written for it a la the spaghetti western the the first song that plays the jango song for jen that one yeah is from the original jango movie the 66 movie oh is it yeah that's cool yeah yeah why the hell not why the hell not exactly uh and it got right there it's in the credits it's credited to you know any i think it's marconian uh whoever whoever else wrote the lyrics but the title of the song you know it's jango's theme but it's written out in atalian because it's a spaghetti western song you know and right tarantino's big fucking nerd for that shit and hey tarantino hey that's pretty it's pretty atalian in and of itself being tarantino tarantino tarantino oh so this huge thing this this gunfight erupts a bunch of people die here um but what ultimately happens is uh hildy is held at gunpoint and jango has to surrender right and they don't kill him um they uh they take him they hang him upside down naked right um we get that scene with waltongogans where he comes in there and he uh says that he's going to um i think he says guild guild him he doesn't say castrate because or i don't know if it's guild or gilding probably gelled but that's what they do to horses essentially is what that's what that is it's the same thing as castration um and touch balls off yes touch of penis off cut your balls off cut the whole thing off oh god um has got a p uh and then steven comes in and explains what's going to happen he's like we're gonna sell you uh off at market i this moment by the way yeah right where you're like steven like goggins leaves and then uh samuel jaxon like closes all the doors yeah you're like is he gonna is he gonna redeem himself here no way right he's just like he's just the fucking words i love apparently samuel jaxon um thinks of this he described the character as having quote the same moral compass as clarance thomas which is a great way to view this character next time you watch it that's what we're gonna do i like that so but yeah he says we're gonna you know we're gonna send you i like people being called out i like that yeah right he's like we're gonna send you to the mining company yep and they're gonna work you to death yes and then they'll throw you in the pit with the other dead bodies and that will be the story of you yes such a fucking scary thing to say uh well it is a it's a it's a thing that's it's in a couple of the tarantina movies this will be the story of you yeah it's in kill bill i know that for sure where i think um uh bill um when when he's talking to umith ermans character and uh she's about to go off to train with uh i want to say his name is pime the the martial arts master oh yes the the keeper of the exploding heart technique yes the five point exploding heart and he says that uh you know if he'll snap your back in your neck like they were twigs and that will be the story of you yes that's yeah it's bone chilling it's bone chilling stuff i i love i i just like that that phrasing and that will be the story of you is crazy yes it is so it's good though it's really good um so they they send jango off with uh some slave traders uh michael parks and quentarantino and and another guy right and um it says uh jango like he's talking to the tarantina tarantino's character here and he says that uh you know there's a there's a reward for this this gang that's back at the at the plantation and if you killed them uh you could collect on that reward and the guy's like what are you talking about he's like here right in my pocket now the reward poster that jango has in his pocket is from his very first uh your bounty it's it's the guy that he killed with um who had he was out in the field and he was plowned field with his son and he killed that guy and shalt is like here hang on to this it's for luck basically so he's like so now presently he's using this old reward poster to trick these guys into letting him go he's like if you uh you know if you let me go uh you know i can i can show you i can point you out you know who they are and all this stuff and these you know tarantino's is two other guys they're like all right yeah this is like uh all right that's that sounds good um uh so he takes uh oh also among the other slaves that these guys have is the one guy who was shooting jango dirty looks when they were heading towards gandiland who like he he just he he fucking hates jango jango he sees him as like as a black slaver right who is like which is the lowest form of human being he you know he can imagine so he uh jango now uh having tricked these guys right he uh as soon as he is uh freed from his from his shackles he grabs a gun kills all the guys uh tarantino's holding dynamite he shoots the dynamite blows up tarantino right and then he lets the just unlocks the the cell the cage that these guys are being held in and then uh he takes off back towards kandilane on the horse and uh this so uh again a couple like the needle dropper whatever it hits and this is a john legend song uh titled who did that to you right and it's basically just like a song about getting revenge for like uh written written for the movie written for the movie yeah and it's like the song is it's all about like a woman who's been wronged and her her man being like you know uh this whoever this is better like he better pray to god right now because he's about to meet him i'm gonna i won't stop until i kill this guy it that's like the song that's playing right and it's song is very cool so as jango is riding away that song starts playing and you see the the slave who's who's hated jango before he sees him and he now he like understands what what this guy's whole play was and like kind of what's going on here now and he's like he's back on board he's like oh this guy jango is pretty cool yeah so he goes back right part of the i mean part of the yeah part of the the guys the slavers or whatever like they make them confirm the story yes right so he's they're all they all know i guess right yeah yeah yeah okay so yeah he goes back and he uh we see the candy family when jango rides off though i'm sorry he's on a white horse which of course revelations you know and sure he got a the man on it was death but he's riding and he's holding the reins with one hand as they're like galloping off and in the other hand he has like a rifle and again it just looks great man he just looks like a man on a mission and he's gonna like fuck everybody up the rifle held up yes riding riding bearback on this horse it looks so good yeah it's really cool um honestly i mean but the shot of them coming home at sundown also looks great yes the littlest amount of light possible before it's like totally dark yep um but they walk into the house and here's the top of stairs well jango first he stops off at the tracker little cabin there and fucking oh that's right it makes quick all of them it just uh blows off the penis of the one guy who's in the bathtub yes he gets out of the tub just have his penis exploded off his body um but yeah so back at the back of the mansion there they come home jango's waiting for him yep he just starts shooting he does he's fucking it i love when he kills uh this sister and she goes flying at an impossible angle out of the frame right it's just like you don't exist anymore you're done yeah it's like it's like a big hook pulled her off stage yes it is like um and yeah jango's like wearing like this uh like a burgundy suit now right i like to so steven's the last one alive right yes puts one in his knee and he gives him this little this little arm he's like how many people you know how many slaves you see him come through here you know a thousand yeah five thousand nine thousand nine hundred ninety nine yeah that's why i'm that one in ten thousand and then he kills him yes and uh he does also like to stick dynamite to blow up the fucking man yeah he fucking he lays out dynamite and like a long-ass fuse that he's like he lights and then uh and this whole time also haldy is in a pretty yellow dress and standing outside waiting for him yes and then uh you know he goes outside she's waiting there and i do like the shot at silly but when she plugs her ears you like a big smile on it yes yeah i love that that felt very like silent movie kind of also it did yeah um yeah it's good and then you know cesar again yep says hey uh hey little troublemaker he says hey big troublemaker hey big troublemaker um the horse that is on uh does a little dresage kind of thing just like he does make it do dresage tricks just to make her laugh um yeah i mean they uh then they write off yeah it's uh it's a fucking it's a cool movie man yeah i you know it's i would i would have thought i don't know i was looking at the criticisms of the film or whatever yeah i feel like more hay could have been made i'm not complaining about it but i'm surprised more hay wasn't made about the kerry washington stuff the lack of truth or it's the true she has zero lines of movie but yeah um you know maybe we can ding it on that i guess but it's also uh i think a symptom of the jejandra it's kind of hard to get around yeah i i don't know right like maybe if we ever do westerns again maybe we do female focused westerns that's good that's good i don't know how many there are but we could try i'm trying to think of like other movies we've watched that have had like a true damsel in distress and it's really like basically um tell me out here fistful of dollars yeah and she really doesn't say anything either no she doesn't know so yeah you know what guy just he did just make kind of like uh unforgiving breaks even with the you know the sex workers there she also doesn't really say much except just like she does have some lines though she does have a bit of like you know that's true that's true that's true more definitely more than kerry washington yeah yeah yeah that way more than kerry washington um but that's it that's that's the movie that is it um yeah it's pretty cool i like a lot it's i'm i'm with you i know i think it could probably be a little shorter i don't think it needs to be almost three hours long i can probably tighten it up here and there but overall it's like i think it's just so fun all this like you know to the extent that it can be fun i think it's it's fun and affecting which is it's a revenge story which are which are i mean in general like in reality revenge is like not it doesn't work but yeah on the screen man it is fucking captivating and like yeah you know when when there's like such a sense of satisfaction when a character gets a revenge you know right yeah and we're dealing in like archetypes here right it's all very it's all very it's all very sad all the villains are so bad you're like yeah you just want you want them to explode by dynamite or get their penis shot off or whatever you know like you're so you're happy to do yeah um i'd love to see it what do you think of them of Tarantino wanting to cast Will Smith initially what do you sort of like you know i think i don't know i mean i think jamey fox is amazing in this i think i think it does a great job and i think it's got to be i think it's got to be jamey fox i think so too there's something a little too especially at this point his career like too polished about Will Smith right he would have to be like like he would have to get dirtier you know yeah right you just don't you don't think of him like that you really don't you think of him as a guy who's banned from the Oscars now yeah if this was a movie about a man getting revenge by slapping his former captors slapping his way through the old west yeah i don't know there's just like something a little shelter's more uh let me tell you of the legend of room hilda and slap some cross face says keep my wife's name after that yes this would never would have worked never would have worked um will i just keep doing it we have to finish the movie ultimately i just think there's something like i don't know something about jamey fox i think he's just like a little better with like looking mean like he does look mean as home right he can he can do a mean face better than will smith yet can will smith do a mean face can he be like intimidating without being silly pro you know probably but not in this kind of role that i think yeah i i like tarantino because that has to be motivated a lot by like we're gonna we're gonna reclaim your legacy in westerns right i'm gonna fix this i'm gonna fix this word i'm gonna do for you what i did for john travolta and like rehabilitate your career so i asked him about that like why you know you brought back like john travolta there were a few actors that you did that with like uh fuck what Jackie brown herself like i think pamgrat oh pamgrat right uh few there were few and he was they're like why don't you do that anymore like why don't you bring and he's like i i i got i've gotten too big i have access to all of the toys in the toy box now and i you know and that's basically i mean that's that is the case right it's just like he could he could cast literally anyway it is you know last movie had the caprio and rap hit is the two leads it's true you know and guess what that's a good movie too that's a good movie too i really like that i like um i don't know again it does sort of feel like this and englory's bastards are leading to it's funny because the stakes go down from those two to once upon a time sure um but it does sort of feel like the transition from like lost highwood and all hall and drive mm-hmm yeah where it's just like he locks in on on what he's trying to say and i think it's just like him moving progressively closer to his own lived experience yeah you know i mean like i think he's just got a stronger and increasingly stronger sense of these worlds as he goes through each movie yeah yeah um but i like this a lot i think i i think i said five and a like hell yeah um i just thought it was so like it is almost three hours long and it does it does not feel like it right like every sequence is you know granted he thinks he's the world's funniest dialogue writer that's shortcoming yeah so sometimes things get a little shaggy but um just the sequences themselves like it's all so well constructed and there's you know things stay tense how long is englory's bastards that's i know it's over two it's a two and a half hours i want to say no let's see checking out the IMDB 233 what's that workout to two hours and 33 minutes oh i thought you meant 233 minutes but that would be like a five hour movie right yeah yeah yeah yeah or a four hour movie um yeah at a certain point i don't know i like i guess after jackie brown he's but he makes kill bill one and two which was supposed to be one movie one three and a half hour movie makes englory's bastards two and a half hours this is 240 uh and then once upon a time in hollywood is it's got to be two and a half maybe more you know 240 yep yeah that just likes long like that likes to take his time but he's i mean he doesn't really take his time though it's just he's because i got all these crazy ideas i got all these ideas i got to put them all in there yeah it is true like even once upon a time in hollywood it's like it's almost three hours long and you're like it doesn't feel yeah i'm like i could watch bread pit drive around for three hours yeah if that was the whole movie i mean like i don't know it's pretty good and that's actually coming next year right is it next year i think so oh man yeah what what is that gonna be i don't know i'm i don't know right and that's the one you said uh what's his name is directing david fincher fincher the adventure is a cliff booth the adventure is a cliff booth got it makes no damn sense it's weird it's so weird but uh we'll see carlogogina is casting that the gooosh scot con nooosh my gooosh carl is here oh oh my gooosh um five stars and lake oh yeah i'll do my team is also i like that guy hey um five stars and lake yeah for sure bravo i can't think of anything to say maybe maybe we say nothing to christoph let's let's say uh christoph waltz i don't know take it on nothing all right glad tarantino didn't say the n-word in this one yeah and gladiator himself australian yeah tarantinaar tarantinaar featuring quinton tarantinaar and that's the reveal and that's all we'll say about it all right thank you for listening to kingie presents the exploration of the western genre yeah by the cowards robin dan we have been the cowards robin dan this is a kingie llc production yes it's rob concluding thoughts on the genre of westerns i'm good or bad uh westerns good i like them i think uh i don't know they're telling uh they're telling the nasty business of how america became the country and uh i like when uh uh it's heroes and bad guys and all that stuff but ultimately like i feel like more often than not the good guys are only like good within a certain context you know it's like oh man with no name he's the good guy but he's also pretty opportunistic and whatever you know right he sort of falls ass backward into being good yeah a lot of anti-heroes you know no real like good guys no knights in white uh aren't uh shiny white armor whatever yeah um i mean this one even kind of starts from a place of like right chris off waltz is like yeah even waltz it's all a lot but he's playing one side against the other for his family um but he finds a heart pretty quick what do you think of westerns now dan having not been a western guy really before this all right do you see yourself watching uh being more open to westerns and maybe watching some on your own time sure sure sure sure yeah no i i um i think what was lost on me was like how kind of like procedural they can get yeah right like the the well there's this guy wants that thing that guy wants the other thing and there's like again the sort of like i learned this with deadwood too so i was kind of like prime to like it uh or you know like this uh series right just the sort of um the way things are not settled down as they are in present times like everything is the rules like there yeah the rules are real fucking vague real murky the rules are vague and not widely agreed upon and like the sort of like veneer of society is so thin yes um and i think that's interesting i think that's interesting watching people navigate it it's i think it's just so crazy to be like all right we're gonna head west and we're gonna start a town like what what are you talking about started town why why what's wrong with this down exactly yeah i could then go in here because start a town start a town be serious how's that gonna go really okay right and the way that you can sort of just like the i don't know sort of invariably the things that hold any of these towns up are bad yeah of course right yeah it's all like right i mean it's the deadwood thing of like you know it's it's prostitution right the town is run by pimp's and casino owners and the mayor is the dumbest guy they could find but they put a top hat on him right make him feel special like a such a funny character i love it yeah i like it i like the you know it's i hate to say it it's like a true american genre it's so distinct even even though the Italians are also very good at it they are like that i mean that's a crazy thing too is that like you know the best some of the best uh westerns are hotels but also um sorry that took a minute here thanks for waiting for me but they're they're also made by italians um i think i think you should watch for a few dollars more i just recently watched that it's the second movie in the trilogy and i think it's better than the first i bet i think it's better than fistful dollars very good and it has leaf and clef in it who just has one of the larger languages of all time um yeah great that's that's just a fucking great movie and next i have to watch i've watched a good vamir in a long time but i should rewatch that um feature it's real feature uh all right uh let's see on friday we're watching our last western over on patreon jango regular just jango original 1966 this spaghetti western starring franko Nero and then let's see what next week uh going back we're going back to castle rock sorta we are sorta going back to castle rock i heard the show is not bad so people say that about a lot of bad things i know they don't they huh but we have but we are yeah it's king proper for yes for a long team business to take care of here uh the king has returned uh so next week next Tuesday we're going to be talking about the institute season one episodes one through four and where does that even air great question i thought i thought you watched this thing i've never heard of even as you're saying it even though i know we've talked about it i feel like i've never heard of it this is crazy mgm
