Deuteronomy 25:17–26:19, in celebration of God‘s faithfulness to all of his promises, the Israelites are commanded to bring their first fruits before him yearly and confess that all of this is from the hand of their gracious God. Matthew 17:1–13, in the transfiguration of our Lord, Jesus demonstrates the unity of all that God had done through Israel in the old covenant, and now is doing through his own Son, Jesus, in the new covenant.
