DM Workshop: Example Session Zero
from Revival: A Dungeons and Dragons Real-Play Podcast · host LMTYA
A session zero is a tabletop game session that takes place before the players and DM start their adventure. It is also the most important part of your game. The Revival crew decided it would be a great idea to do our own "session zero" where we start from nothing and build a fully playable setting with a fleshed out world and characters. We were inspired to do this because we've seen so many people having a hard time making a setting that works and keeps people engaged. We hope this example helps show how dang ol' useful a session zero is in making a successful game and hope you appreciate the goofs along the way.
