But increasingly, there is a dark aspect to it all. More and more cases are being proved to have relied on what is basically false DNA evidence and as a result, innocent people are being sent to prison, or even sentenced to death. So while the cold case clear-up rate is fantastic and to be applauded, at what point do we say this evidence is not enough to convict a person?
