Do Catholics & Orthodox Worship Mary and the Saints?

This is one of the most common—and most quickly dismissed—questions in conversations between Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox Christians: do Catholics and Orthodox actually worship Mary? Because the issue isn’t just what we intend to do, but whether our actions align with what God has revealed. We’ll look at how the Bible describes worship, why intention alone isn’t enough to determine what is acceptable to God, and whether distinctions like “veneration vs worship” actually hold up when tested against Scripture. This isn’t a small issue—worship, in the Bible, is sacred, exclusive, and not something God leaves open to human innovation.
