Do I need a manager for my music career? What are the pros and cons in hiring a manager? What if I can’t afford to pay a manager yet? If you’re just getting your feet wet in your music career, management can help organize your workflow. You may need help with the business side of your career, or just need help juggling your projects. Hell, some people skip management altogether. A manager’s primary responsibilities revolve around logistics, booking and even public relations. Therefore, it’s important that your manager has a grasp of these things. Not to mention, they should believe in you. The most important quality of all is work ethic, as experience and know-how will come in time.
