I recently attended Harvard Divinity School's "Symposium on Religious Literacy and Journalism." Scholars and journalists gathered together to brainstorm how to better prepare journalists when it comes to covering topics about religion. The general feeling was that newsrooms just do not give enough resources to covering religion accurately.
