John the Baptist's conception, birth, and life reveal this truth. John the Baptist bore witness of the Light. He was born carrying a task to be delivered to earth. Simply stated, John the Baptist was a delivery man whose task was to deliver the message from God (the Sender) to humanity (the Receivers) via bearing witness. Hence, John the Baptist was a middleman between the Sender and the receivers. John the Baptist bore witness of Jesus through his words and life.
