Do Not Be Ashamed Of The Gospel Of The Lord Jesus

We should glory in a Gospel that rescues us from Hell.Paul is telling Timothy who might need some encouragement, to be bold in preaching the gospel.Before he gets to not being ashamed he reminds him “stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” He says “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God.”We should not be ashamed of the Gospel because in the Gospel “the righteousness of God (is) revealed from faith to faith.The Gospel reveals how we have eternal life, in the Lord Jesus Christ. So we should always be willing and excited to proclaim the true gospel.
