Do Not Be Deceived

Trey Knowles – Do Not Be Deceived In a world where truth is often overshadowed by distraction, pleasure, and the pursuit of material success, Do Not Be Deceived stands as a bold spiritual warning. Trey Knowles delivers a powerful message that challenges listeners to look beyond the illusions of modern culture and recognize the temporary nature of this worldly life. Blending atmospheric production with haunting melodies and thought-provoking lyricism, the song draws inspiration from the wisdom of the Qur'an, particularly Surah Luqman, Surah Sad, and other passages that remind believers to remain steadfast, seek divine guidance, and resist the whispers of temptation. Through the striking image of a serpent wrapped in American colors, Knowles uses symbolism to illustrate how deception can disguise itself as freedom, prosperity, and progress while leading people away from the path of God. More than a song, Do Not Be Deceived is a call to self-reflection and spiritual awareness. It confronts the seductive pull of materialism, cultural conformity, and worldly ambition, urging listeners to place their trust in the Creator rather than the fleeting promises of this life. Every verse serves as a reminder that this world is a temporary test, and that true success is found in faith, righteousness, and obedience to God. This is not merely music—it is a message. A reminder to remain vigilant, to seek wisdom over illusion, and to choose eternal truth over temporary gain. Do Not Be Deceived is a powerful fusion of faith, poetry, and purpose—an unmistakable statement from Trey Knowles that calls hearts back to divine guidance and challenges every listener to ask: What am I truly following?
