She then went on to attend the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio where she completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship in 2021. She served as the chief cardiology fellow from 2020-2021 at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. She is also board-certified in Adult Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Hughston is a Lubbock native at heart. She grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Adam, and their two daughters
