Do Not Love the World

John writes to children, fathers, and young men in the faith, who know the Father and have overcome the evil one. Do not love the world or the things in the world, the desires of the flesh and eyes and the pride of life, for the world is passing away. It is the last hour, and antichrists have gone out from the church, showing they never belonged to it. Believers have an anointing from the Holy One and abide in Christ. Tribulation awaits his followers, but they are not orphans; his Spirit abides with them until he comes.
