Do We Expect Too Much Of Black Celebrities?

from Mental Dialogue

In the past AFRICAN-AMERICAN CELEBRITIES have played a major role in the fight for civil rights and equality in America.  Recently, comedian MONIQUE asked people to BOYCOTT NETFLIX to fight against race and gender inequality.  Unfortunately, herBOYCOTT has come under scrutiny within the AFRICAN-AMERICAN community, because it was seen as selfish; while on the other hand COLIN KAEPERNICK is seen as a hero to some in his stance against the NFL.  What expectations should we have of our BLACK CELEBRITIES who choose to involve themselves in social issues versus the ones who operate for personal gain or not involve themselves at all?  MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afriad to ask.  ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK
