Do We Have an Open Mind?

In this podcast, the Accord Team, Rebecca and Naomi, talk about the difference between an open mind and a closed mind. We are required in Christ to walk in certainty and assurance of who He is and who we are in Him, but we need to be open-minded, and guard ourselves from being a closed-minded person. Closed minded people don't want their ideas to be challenged, they are more likely to make statements than ask questions , they focus much more on being understood than understanding others, they struggle with more than one idea or thought, and they can lack a deep sense of humility. His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts but that can be, and there is a reason why we are so clearly instructed in scripture to keep knocking, keep seeking, keep asking, keep pursuing and keep asking questions, because that is the behaviour of the open-minded, not so they can be right, but because they value that their righteousness comes from Him, not their own evaluation of what is true.
