Do We Live Better than the Kings and Queens of Old? (Episode 9: Rebroadcast)

THINK OF ALL THE BENEFITS OF BEING A KING OR QUEENGiant castles, vast armies at your command, and unlimited wealth. What could be more appealing than the prestige and power that comes with royalty? Just think of all the people waiting on you. Imagine all your privileges, including your own court jester to entertain you, and lots of soldiers that you can use to expand or defend your territory. You would get to live in a big beautiful  castle, and people from all around would seek your attention and bestow complements and gifts upon you and your family. Could there possibly be a better way to live than being a successful king or queen? Could it be that the average person’s life (yours for example) be better than being royalty? Could it be that living like a King is not enough? The answer may surprise you — and the answer to what will make us happy may also.
