Do we need more footpaths on rural roads?

from Lunchtime Live

Many people living in rural areas cannot access local towns and villages on foot due to the lack of footpaths and safe roads. With little to no public transport across rural areas, locals are forced to drive their cars, when they may not be needed. Those that do not have cars face treacherous walks on the side of busy roads due to the lack of sufficient infrastructure. We want to hear from our listeners today: does your area need more footpaths, and do we have to fight so hard to get them?Joining Andrea to discuss is Fianna Fáil Cllr, Patrick McGowan, as well as listeners.
