Do You Actually Like... Pride and Prejudice?
from Do You Actually Like...? Hosted by DYAL Podcast
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of... an episode about Pride and Prejudice? If you have always loved Lizzie Bennet’s wit, Fitzwilliam Darcy’s brooding good looks, and the slightly alarming off-kilter ways Mrs Bennet, then boy do we have the episode for you!Follow us on a journey back to regency England, where we would have both been considered unaccomplished spinsters, almost certainly died of some horrible disease, and given the chance definitely would have run off with a member of the militia, regardless of the scandal it would have caused. Also, listen out for Brigitta talking at length about F.R.Leavis’s opinions regarding canon formation without mentioning him by name, it’s for sure a highlight.
