Have you ever benefited from someone without actually knowing them?In Ruth chapter 3, the story shifts. Ruth has already experienced provision and kindness from Boaz. She has gleaned in his field. She has eaten his food. She has received protection. But the harvest season is coming to an end, and provision is no longer enough.In this sermon, we walk verse by verse through Ruth 3:1-18 and see what happens when Ruth moves from benefiting to pursuing. She refuses to settle for temporary blessing when covenant redemption is within reach.This passage points us beyond Boaz to our ultimate Redeemer, Jesus Christ. It confronts the difference between enjoying the common grace of God and belonging to Him in covenant relationship.Are we content standing in the field, or have we moved toward the Redeemer in surrender?
